Honda and Acura Front Lower Control Arm Bushing Tool

There have only been two tools to replace the lower control arm bushings on a Honda, until now. The best known, but now discontinued was from Snap-On/Blue Point. Another version was from Schley Products, which had an issue with the central bolt stretching. But, it was able to work with the two different sized bushings used on different year models.The 9 Circle Honda and Acura Front Lower Control Arm Bushing Tool is step up from both of the tools. It's well made, beautifully finished, nice color on the piston. Most importantly, the two nuts that go on the central bolt, are built with ball bearing traces, so that the friction on the cups is eliminated. I did put a bit of grease on the bolt, just to make sure it wouldn't bind. I did spray some penetrating oil ahead of time on the bushings. Using it was great, expect that I didn't have a wrench or socket the proper size, and I have a lot of tools. But, I used a large open end adjustable wrench.And it worked like a charm. Pushed the old OEM bushing out, and the new one in. No problems at all, and it snows where we live. The one caveat, is that it only fits one size bushing, and if you need the other size, you will need to order another tool. it would be great if they had the option to purchase both sizes at once in a single kit. I'm going to have to order the other size, something that wouldn't be a problem with the Schley kit. But, this is cheaper, and I think an improvement on the other kits. I'll be looking out for other 9 Circle tools. The tool arrived in two days, well packed. I thought that it would do both sized bushings, my mistake, but recommend the tool without reservation.

Used it for the first time, used a press to remove and replace not sure how well it work on the car as threads on the bolt might strip. Would have been nice if it came as set for the bigger bushing as well Overall very good if using a press.
