I bought this newly released cable the other day after trying to find a high quality substitute for the short cable that comes as standard with Sennheiser's HD598SR headphones. (The standard cable feels cheap and the kinks are hard to remove.) Over several months I have bought and used two other cables that weren't cheap but neither of them were suitably well made and comfortable to use. One had dreadful plastic braiding which scratched my skin whilst the other had a 2.5 mm connector that didn't lock into the headphones, despite looking like the one fitted to the Sennheiser cable. There are no such issues with this cable which is superbly made with very precisely manufactured plugs and a lovely smooth and translucent cable that dangles nicely. Having said that, it was coiled when it arrived which gave it some resistance to dangling in a straight line. However, after filling a bowl with boiling water and dipping the cable only into the water for a few minutes the kinks came straight out and its fine now. (A technique that works extremely well with all manner of kinked cables.) If you want a really good short (1.2 metre) cable for your HD598SR headphones that is very well made, looks good and performs perfectly, this is it. Highly recommended!
