Such a lovely tea set! This will be a Christmas present for our nine year old tea party crazy granddaughter. After reading several of the reviews the storage basket is sturdier than I expected. The set we received has fairly sturdy snaps instead of Velcro for securing the lid. The spoons were loose in the basket when we received it but certainly didn't do any damage to the porcelain. I'll pack them in a bubble wrap envelop of some sort before wrapping them for Christmas. This was one of the few sets of this size with its own storage; that's the only reason why I was willing to pay more than I was hoping. This is a great tea set though. I went to the Reutter website and printed off replacement info since none came with the set. I put a copy in the basket for our daughter to keep in case of an emergency= }

Tea set is lovely, however, arrived with 3 cups broken and broken pieces nowhere to be found. Very disappointing. This has never happened with any item I have ordered from Amazon.

Originally ordered the medium tea set, which was way too small. The sugar bowl wasn't even big enough to fit the spoon in. The picture for the medium set is actually a picture of the large set. Amazon made the return quick and easy. The large set was supposed to arrive overnight, but was delayed a day. The set is nice, but I still have some concerns about it. Bigger than the medium set, but still on the small side. Not all the pieces are stamped on the bottom, which makes me nervous that they are not all genuine. Also, the tea pot has a piece of the enamel missing from the front. Called customer service and they gave me a credit for the defect because I didn't want to have to go through the hassle of returning another set. Overall, my daughter is happy with it. But not sure if it was worth the money.

Fantastic. We have ordered many Tea Sets, most cheaper then this one. I have to say this is far better quality and something your child can keep and pass down to their kids, its that pretty. It is the perfect size. The tea pot is much bigger then most of the sets that are offered for children but small enough for them to handle pouring. The cups are about normal small tea cup size. My daughter LOVES this This is by no means an indestructible toy set, it needs to be used with adult supervision but my daughter did bang the cups together pretty hard and no chips so far. I would say 5 and up , unless you happen to have a very mature 4 year old who takes care of their things. My daughter just turned six and it's perfect.

Bought this set for my daughter's 5th Birthday and she loves it. We have had a couple of tea parties almost everyday. Even my 2 year old son wants to play. It is the perfect size and the case is great. Only down fall is that the bottom piece that holds the cups and tea pot is a thin plastic with little support so it was cracked when we got it from the weight of the set, but it does still do its job.

This was a Christmas present for my 5 yr old daughter. She loves drinking hot tea and was using my fine china tea set for to hold tea parties with our elderly neighbor. I was looking for something that was smaller but not too small.The pot holds roughly 1 3/4 cups of water. Enough to fill each cup twice. It came with 4 tea spoons and the basket is perfect for strorage. The pictures are whimsical and will cover all bases of "favorite" colors since each picture is a different color.She only got it yesterday and has had 2 tea parties already - with more to come!

Made in Germany, this is the tea set to buy for your child's realistic tea party experience. My grandchild complained the cups from her other tea set were too small to use. This set met with her approval. The teapot is manageable in size and weight. The basket is also well made and holds all of the items securely in place but I recommend continuing to using the several pieces of foam that come when the item is shipped to prevent the items from pumping when carried.
