Big Brother Daniel (Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood)

This is the perfect book to purchase for a toddler to explain the arrival of a baby. My 18 month old was able to grasp the concepts easily and got excited. It explains that the baby will cry a lot, Mom and Dad will be giving more attention to the baby than you, but you can do things to help - and when baby naps, you can get special time with mom and dad. This book was perfect. I loved how it shows Daniel being a big helper to mom and dad because now he’s a big brother. It sets such a practical example and makes the arrival of a baby a more positive experience. Whether you are familiar with Daniel Tiger or not, it’s the perfect book to explain to your little one about the birth of a sibling and what to anticipate. Great buy!

Daniel Tiger books are good

We Love Daniel tiger books and this one was perfect for my son becoming a big brother to put in his big brother basket we made him from new baby and he loved it!

This book has been a tremendous help getting our son ready to be a big brother! He loves Daniel Tiger so this was a perfect book to get him ready to be a big brother!

This is a good book for anyone who is a Daniel Tiger fan! My daughter loves this show and so we ordered the book after telling her she would be a big sister. It's cute and has simple text and she likes it because she knows the characters. It talks about Daniel being happy to have a baby sister and it mentions that she is little and sometimes cries a lot. It talks about how Daniel is a big helper by helping his mom feed the baby a bottle and helping his dad with diapers, and he gets special time with Mom and Dad when she naps. Cute, simple, positive, and good for anyone who likes the show!! It repeats the phrase "You can be a big helper at your house" several times, which is also a song from a Daniel Tiger episode.

Book about being a big brother

Our 35-month-old son couldn't be more sweet and excited about his new baby sister! She's 7 weeks old now and he's still so loving and accepting of her. This book (and a second Daniel Tiger book on the same topic) were just two of the many things we did to help ease his transition and prepare him for a sibling, but I'm certain this was a big part of it. We even did some of the same things with him that Daniel does with his parents to prepare for the new baby, such as moving his old crib back into the nursery, sorting baby clothes, and picking out a present for him to give the new baby. Daniel Tiger saves the day again!
