MC MOTOPARTS NIMBLE Black Red CNC 1/4 Quick Lock Fuel Cap Compatible with YZF R6 1999-2017

This item (bought for my 2002 Yamaha R1) looks amazing but there are a couple issues. I'm taking one star away because I was handy enough to fix them, but others may not be as kind.1.) This product does not connect out of the box to the venting on the OEM setup. I was able to use the rubber grommet from the OEM cap, with some black silicone sealer, and make it work after cutting down the tubing. As it comes in the package it will not vent.2.) The black bolts you get with this are CHEAP, super-soft aluminum. Even with the slightest pressure to tighten them down the head stripped on one that required me to drill it out to remove it; which could have be disastrous if the drill slipped. I ended up using the OEM bolts, which are silver, and they look fine but the black look is better. I may paint the heads of my OEM bolts eventually to achieve the same look with hardened bolts.

No issues with install, perfect fit and finish is awesome. Took me 10 mins to swap.Look up d-axis gas cap for install instructions. This is literally the same thing.

It looks great. That being said, you can feel that it's a cheaper product. The machining of the aluminum is fine, but the subtle details are where it hurts. The gas cap vent does not work without alteration. Therea no gasket between the tank and outer flange so there may be water build up, and the aluminum screws are very brittle.

Does not fit right into the previous hole. You have to cut up your stock gasket to were it will not be useable again if you ever need to switch back to a lockable top

Looks nice but there's no seal around the cap so if it rains its gonna get in your gas on the r1 not sure how other bikes are

Pros- Looks great and installs easy.Cons- The metal is machines so exactly, that the cap has difficulty being removed when filling up the tank.

Yamaha MT09 2017 fit good!

Great product, fits perfectly and it give my motorcycle a complete different luxurious look
