PSSR-25 25-Foot ProCarpenter Lefty/Righty Standard Measuring Tape

I have gone through a lot of tape measures, and this FastCap ProCarpenter is easily my favorite so far. Solid build without being bulky, and the left/right markings are way more useful than I expected. Measuring from either side is fast and easy. I HATED counting fraction lines or even trying to see them now that I am older. I am not a daily carpenter - just a woman who thinks she can build a few things. The blade has a 96-inch standout, stays rigid, and retracts smoothly without snapping back. The built-in pencil sharpener and notepad sound gimmicky but are actually more handy than I had realized it would be. Bottom line: smart design, accurate, and clearly made by people who use tools. I will buy another so I have one for each space in my house.

This FastCap ProCarpenter is hands-down the best tape measure I’ve owned. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the standout feature is the lefty/righty markings — I didn’t realize how useful that would be until I started using it. Whether I’m measuring from the left or right, the numbers are always easy to read. The blade is sturdy, has great standout length, and retracts smoothly without snapping back too fast. The built-in pencil sharpener and notepad are surprisingly handy — nice little touches that make it perfect for shop or jobsite work. Tip: Keep a spare pencil with it — you’ll actually find yourself using the tiny note pad more than you think. Overall, FastCap really nailed it with this one. Smart design, accurate, and built to last. I’ll be sticking with this brand from now on.

This one has a LOT of first-class features. It's like a $40 measure, but for about a quarter of the price. I can't speak as to durability, but it feels and acts like high-quality. Brake button, sharpener, thump tab on the belt clip, super easy to read at any angle, soft rubber outer casing, whiteboard, oversized thumb brake slide lever and a bit lighter than my other pro 25' tape measure are all great features. My favorites are the readability of the tape, button brake and the tab on belt clip. I added photos showing all the special features. Due to the great value, this measure is an easy pick for most purposes. A runaway best choice. And the 16' version is a couple of dollars less. If 16' will suffice for max length, that's a good option as it will be much lighter.

If you're looking for an accurate, durable, 25-ft measuring tape, this is the one and only one you will ever need. Here are the many reasons I love this tape measure: 1. It's the perfect size. It fits right into the average sized hand and is easy to handle. 2. The build quality is solid. The exterior of the tape measure feels well constructed and soft to the touch. It doesn't have any sharp corners or pieces to worry about cutting your hand on. The tape itself has a nylon finish to help protect the numbers and tick marks from wearing away over time. 3. It is clear and accurate. All numbers and tick marks are clearly labeled and are easy to read. I would spend half the time figuring out what number a particular tick was supposed to be on my old tape measure, and this eliminates the guesswork and wasted time. The tape is also reversed as well, meaning the tick marks and numbers run along both sides of the tape, making it easy to use in any orientation. 4. It comes with cool extra features that no other tape measures (or at least the ones I've seen) have. The outside of the roll is made for writing down your measurements so you don't forget them. There is a button at the bottom just behind the tape slot that allows you to hold the tape in place without having to slide down the tape lock. There is a pencil sharpener on the back of the tape measure for sharpening up your pencil without having to stop what you're doing to go find that pencil sharpener you put somewhere else. This is a high quality, reliable, durable, accurate, and freaking awesome tape measure. Honestly, I put off buying it because I thought to myself, it's just a tape measure. How much different could it be from other tape measures? They all measure lengths, yes. But this one just makes measuring so much easier and simpler to do. I was convinced I had to buy it once I saw one of my favorite woodworkers on Youtube using this tape measure. And he owns tons of high end equipment and many precision tools. This is the tape measure he uses. Do what I did and buy this immediately. You won't regret it.

In the UK, it is nigh on impossible to find an imperial only tape measure nowadays. This tape measure is well made. Having inch fractions clearly labelled on both edges is so much better than having a split between metric and imperial. The pencil sharpener is a nice touch, as is the white label for jotting down measurements on the move. It is a strong measure that easily extends for 8 or 9 feet without collapsing. Two options for locking - temporary hold under the finger and slide lock on top. So easy to use. The spring clip is also much more user friendly than the usual metal bracket. I find imperial is the perfect system for working in wood. It just makes sense. There is no need to work machinist tolerances in wood. So easy to half and quarter using imperial fractions. Doing so encourages working in wood. I have no problem living in a scientific metric world, but please leave me with meaningful units that help me. Who wants to say twenty five point four millimetres when you can simply say 'inch' and then divide into halves each time to make 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 etc.

This 25 foot left & right reading measuring tape is the woodworkers pro choice. I've been building cabinets and furniture for some 25 years. always using a regular tape. I finally decided to purchase a lefty to stop reading upside down. But this one is better than I expected, I use it in the wood shop every day now. Not only is it well made and durable, the measurements are in 1/16th increments the entire 25 feet on both sides. someone was thinking like a woodworker or any other craftsman in this design. A nice rubber encased grip and a built in pencil sharpener, a wonderful idea. along with a sort of white board to write in a measurement on the side. another excellent idea for the short memory of a head full of fractions and numbers while your transferring a measurement. This is a must for any craftsman's workshop, its simply the ideal measuring tape. Highly recommend.
