Jonathan Little at his usual analytical style, with great content and spot on, on BLUFFS!
First!Well, this is exactly what a book about bluffs should be like in 2016... I was a bit curious of the content, since many times, bluffing seems to be about reading the soul of your opponent, bullying the table or particular opponents, taking crazy shots and being on top of the world when you succeed... Well, at least on TV.But this is a Jonathan Little book and if you have read any of his previous books (I own and read them ALL - big fan, I should warn you) you know that this is going to be a serious, analytical, thorough work. Being a Mathematics teacher, I love his structured and analytical approach. He breaks down his thoughts about positions, preflop, flop, turn and river bets, stack sizes etc.I have read a part of this book, and I love his hand examples. You won't find attempts to bluff with 72o (at least I didn't spot any). I felt that most of the hands discussed were either good starting hands that don't connect with the board, or medium strenght hands that semi-connect but are turned to bluffs... And I LOVE THIS! This is what we aim for, widening our ranges and managing to play marginal hands and make a profit of them. Playing garbage hands is still not adviced (I guess except very special occasions), normal poker rules still apply here: Position, stack sizes, hand values and (he mantions it quite a few times) opponents tendencies! Yes, this is a crusial factor in an attempted bluff and Jonathan is correct to mention it... But NOT the only factor...Anyway, if you have read a Jonathan Little book before, you know what to expect in this one too... Excellent, expert advice from a master of Poker books (in my opinion by far the best book writer-instructor in the last years), serious analysis of the game (and Bluffs in this case) and the price is actually very very good, for the size of this book! Thanks JL, once again you gave us great material to study.

Good review, Easy to read.
I liked this book as an addendum to all the other poker books I have read. Not much new, but how much is new over a game this popular and well discussed. It just puts things in a new manner of interpretation and is coherently written. Designed for intermediates not novices. i enjoy reading well written poker books, because it brings out things that I know to do but fail to do. I like Jonathan Little's books because they are easy to follow and usually well written. He charges too much for them, but if I bought it, that obviously has not stopped me from purchasing it.

It is an OK book. Very vague and boring. Good for a beginner. Nothing new for a experienced player
I have a few Jonathan Little books. Excelling at no limit holdem and mastering no limit holdem. Excelling at nlh is the better of the 2. This book bluffs. Is Very short 140-150 pages. It is mostly full of charts with hands you should raise with and in what position. Which if you have been playing poker for a while such as myself you pretty much should have an idea what hands to call with. This book gives you no technique on how you should bluff or any principles of bluffing. If you are brand new to nlh then you should Probaly buy this book but if your an experienced player find something else do not waste your money. Little's books lately are very dull boring and cut and dry full of charts with hands you should play at a certain position. 3 stars is me being nice. He tried to write a book about bluffs but it was just a bluff.

Highly recommend
Great advice on incorporating more bluffs into my game. I found particular value in the sections on open raising and three betting with a wider range preflop and in the advice on short stack play. Very worthwhile book.

Must read
This book will help you understand the core fundamentals of bluffing and winning pots that don’t belong to you. Great to read and reread slowly to understand all the principles discussed.

Great read and excellent aggression reminder
Enjoyed every page and reminded me the fruits of aggression in a systematic way. Applied to my next tournament and felt I’m stronger player now. Highly recommended.

Another excellent book by Jonathan.
Required reading if you want to keep up with today's poker game. Working on one aspect of the game, at a time, gives the reader a chance to focus on a specific topic.

Great insight
Great book. I've added many bluffs to my game and now have better reads on opponents which helps exploit their tendencies and weaknesses.

The title of the book could also be "playing poker range against range".
Obviously, that means "bluffs" will happen a lot - but the focus of the book is not on crazy stories of daring plays, but on the bread-and-butter interpretation of modern poker:* think in ranges, and how they fit flops (and use Equilab a lot)* get out of your comfort zone to put even more uncomfortable pressure on your opponentsI like it. This is a book you can re-read twice a year to remind yourself what a solid poker strategy should be founded on.
