Perfect fit for a 2006 Dodge 3500 Mega cab with 5.9 Cummins
This was only $5 more than the thermostat I also replaced on the same job. Not sure how it is so cheap. Appears to be as good of quality as the OEM I had to replace at 85k miles. Time will tell and I will update this review if it fails too soon. Lots of youtube help out there for DIY'ers. Swapping them out was a cinch except for the extra body you might need to loosen the serpentine belt off the alternator. I didn't remove the radiator, fan, nor the intercooler so I had to access the belt tensioner from the bottom using my non mechanically savvy son.

Easy button
This pump looks, fits, and functions just like the OEM pump. FYI - My vehicle is a 2006 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummins. This is the easiest water pump installation I have ever undertaken on any vehicle. There are youtube videos on how to do this but it is possible to replace this pump without removing anything other than the pump itself. The fan, fan shroud, radiator, etc. can all stay in place. Just loosen the belt tensioner, slip the belt off of the alternator/water pump/fan pulley, remove the old pump (two 10mm bolts, hit the pulley with a hammer to knock it loose), install the new pump, reinstall the belt, release the tensioner, done. I completed the job in easily less than an hour. The 'hard' part is getting the old pump out since it is surrounded by engine components. On my vehicle there is a tubular radiator fan shroud bracket at about the 11 o'clock position. Remove the nut from that bracket (no need to remove the bracket itself) and that will allow enough flex in the fan shroud to remove the old pump and squeeze in the new one. Be careful not to bang the pump into the back of the radiator to avoid puncturing a radiator core; they are pretty easy to damage.

Update 12/20/25. Water pump failed and is leaking.
No issues. Appears to be very well made. Simple installation after watching a YouTube video. No need to remove the fan. Just move the alternator out of the way, do not remove entirely. Close quarters but you can get it in with a little effort.

Very solid water pump with no compromise in quality at a great price.
This fit perfectly on my 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins Diesel. The construction of the water pump is very solid. The fins are made of metal (the stock pump I took off had plastic fins). There was no wobble or play in the bearing. It was definitely heavier and better built than the original. A few tips if you plan to replace yourself: 1. Have a friend help with the belt tensioner while you take off the serpentine belt. 2. Don’t forget to drain your engine coolant before removing the water pump. You will fill a 5 gallon bucket. 3. Be sure to clean around the edge of where you remove the old water pump before installing the new one. I used a light grit sand paper and some break cleaner to help clean the dirt off. 4. Don’t forget to put the new gasket in place and apply a light bit of oil on the gasket before putting the new water pump in place. 5. Check the other pulleys for wobble. I ended up replacing my belt tensioner as well (also Gates).
