Review: Very smart looking, with a smooth movement and features of a much more expensive watch - After seeing a few video reviews of Invicta watches I quickly had a scrol through the different designs and had been waiting an age for this one to drop in price and luckily this sales week brought me good fortune. An early Christmas present for myself... Well for the Mrs to give to me. There have been lots of comparisons between this watch and a certain luxury watch brand that developed a model of diving watch and if you want that brand go ahead and spend 15/20k, but I'm not concerned about brand. I want a good watch and this is what we have here. It arrives in beautifully bold yellow presentation box. Open it up and the watch is well protected with lots of film on the front and bracelet. Peel it off and the face is lovely and clear, the lume also works a treat for the hour markers. The date window also magnifys the date easily and clearly. The bezel can be rotated anti clockwise for diving use. It felt a bit stiff, which is better than too soft. Just rotate the marker at 12 to align with the minute hand and you can easily track time spent either underwater or since you put your dinner in the oven. The crown (winder) arrived already screwed down. This is the mark of a real diving watch. To stop water getting in lightly press the crown down and rotate so that it clamps onto the threads and seals the watch tightly. Unscrew the crown and you can then wind the watch. It will charge while being worn as thisbis an automatic movement but it's good to have the option to give it a quick charge if you won't be active or wearing it all day. Pull the crown out further and you can adjust the date and time. Then push it in and screw down again to seal. The movement is lovely and smooth, much smoother than other automatic watches i have that cost 3 times the price and thanks to the rear viewing window you can also see the internals which is nice. The bracelet is stainless and the clasp is a fold over type rather than butterfly. So it is very secure with no chance of it randomly opening and going flying. It is also a large bracelet. I have large arms and wrists and still had to take out a few links. On the wrist this feels like good quality. It's a balanaced weight. It doesn't feel like a gold brick trying to remind you and everyone around that it's there, and it also is not so light that it feels like it will fall apart. It's a happy medium. This is listed as water resistant to 200m and i can easily believe it. This is a very well made watch for an incredible price. Great value and quality. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed, unless you want a £20k branded watch. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful Review: A great watch at a great price. - A very nice timepiece which keeps excellent time. Nice clear dial and a nice overall look appearing to be much more expensive than it actually was. One small dislike, the strap was very difficult to adjust and would suggest taking it to a jeweller for professional adjustment.

a great affordable watch
the watch overall looks very good, it is obviously some sort go homage to the Rolex Submariner, however this 42mm model of the Invicta compared to the 40mm 8926OB is slightly larger in diameter than the original Submariner so not totally identical. the movement inside is the Seiko NH35a which is just superb, I am a lover of all Seiko watches and movements for their reliability so this is a big positive for me. The Jubilee style strap that comes with the watch feels cheap and its very rattly but is easy to adjust, and has a clasp that has 4 micro adjustments so you won't struggle to find the perfect fit, overall you shouldn't expect more from a watch strap at this price point, however I would not accept any less. The rotating bezel is very loud and I found that it can be quite stiff and difficult to turn without my fingers slipping around the bezel. it also has a large "INVICTA" etched on the side which I find quite tacky but im sure ill get used to it. overall I really like this watch, its certainly worth the money in my opinion if you want a decent automatic watch to wear at work without too much worry.

Great watch
Good watch. Just the right size. Keeps good time and looks quite good as well. The functionality it offers is what I needed for my use. Recommend.

Why hate invicta watches
This is one beautiful watch,,invicta have made several improvements, I refer only to my model the 30091. The illumination lasts well into the early hours. Charged about 21:00. The cyclops magnification is vastly improved, and the date is clearly visible. Over night face up fully wound it is accurate to -2seconds. Worn for a period of 24 hours on the wrist it's accurate to +-5 seconds. For the price paid it is as beautiful as its Rolex equivalent.

Great watch for the price.
First ever Invicta. Brand gets a lot of flak mainly due to some of the more outlandish "designs". This one is obviously a take on the submariner/GMT. As such it works really well. The jubilee bracelet is an absolute pig to adjust, link pins are in really tight. Once sized though the bracelet is really comfortable. The lume is good, it's not great but if I charge it before before going to bed, I can read the time quite easily all night. The NH35 movement is great, this one is running at +1.79 seconds a day, a lot better than some of my Swiss watches that cost in the thousands. Now the final and most important part... I've read alot on the Internet about Invictas stating 200m water resistance on the dial, yet drowning in a puddle. I threw this one straight in a sink of water when it arrived, if it leaked it was going straight back. Left it submerged 3+ hours and gave it a good clean. No water got in, no fogging on the glass, no moisture signs front or back glass. Just screw the crown down properly!! All in all, a great watch I bought to wear in circumstances that I wouldn't risk my nicer watches. However this one is really growing on me, I'm starting to mother it like the rest of my collection. On the basis of this I bought my Mrs the 37mm quartz to wear for work, no issue with this one either. Good, solid, affordable watches. Certainly changed my mind about the brand.

Just today received my new Invicta 42mm Silver Pro Diver Model 21978 with the stainless steel jubilee bracelet from Amazon. Delivery from Amazon was quite fast, in 2 days as promised. The watch arrived in the classic yellow Invicta watch box including the standard instruction manual and Invicta polishing cloth. Given the price point, the build quality for this watch appears to be well above my initial expectation. Took it to my local jeweler who quickly sized it to my 7.25" wrist. As you can see from the photo, at 42mm, this watch is rather large, but is very much to my liking. The black dial with silver indices and silver markings on the black bezel is very readable. Although the design is clearly a homage to the Rolex Submariner, the Invicta branding makes it clear that this is not a Submariner. And, at $75.50, the value of this 200M dive rated watch is extraordinary. The bezel rotation and crown action is very positive and very smooth. The jubilee bracelet is comfortable and quite adequate. The Seiko NH35A Japanese automatic movement has a long history for quality and mechanical accuracy. I have not been a fan of Invicta watches in the past, however, I love the way this Invicta Pro Diver looks on my wrist and like the overall quality. I plan to provide a more in-depth review after a few months. If you are thinking about buying this 42mm Pro Diver and have any questions about this Invicta watch, please do not hesitate to leave a comment. Update 03/10/2021 Its been three weeks since I received my new Invicta 42mm Diver and I am so thrilled with it that I could not wait a few months to post an update. This watch looks and feels so much better than expected. The quality at this price point is nothing short of amazing. I have worn it on and off together with my Seiko SKX007 pretty much every day, and will often keep it on to sleep at night with no issues. The black dial with white lume indices is crisp and easily readable. The bezel is piano black with silver minute marks which provides a nice compliment to the black dial. It also lines up perfectly with the chapter ring and the rotation, although quite firm, is smooth and precise. The lume is not as good as a Seiko SKX007, but it is quite adequate. With a 30 second charge, the lume will pretty much last all night. The Japanese NH35A caliber movement is a real workhorse, is quite reliable, and makes for a great daily tool watch. The jubilee bracelet is very attractive and is quite comfortable. After having it sized by my local jeweler, I decided I needed to tighten it up a bit which I was able to do very easily with the 4 micro adjustments on the clasp. I really cannot say enough good things about this 42mm Submariner homage. I have never been a fan of the oversized Invicta quartz watches, however, this 42mm automatic is something quite special to me. Some reviews have criticized the Invicta branding on this diver, however, I tend to like it and think it adds its own charm to this beautiful timepiece. If you can find this watch at or below $75 dollars, I would not hesitate to recommend that you make the purchase. You will not be disappointed!

Getting CSOC Swiss accuracy out of mine, only losing 2 to 3 seconds per day, that's not too bad considering there is 86400 seconds in a day, that's approximately 2,592,000. Seconds a month, so only losing 90 seconds a month, that's fantastic accuracy, a little larger than a submariner at approximately 42mm in diameter, but wears smaller and looks great, bezel action is great and screw down crown works perfect, thanks amazon and Invicta, you've done it again...
