The almost perfect meal for any adventure!
This Wayfayrer Chilli Con Carne is a great choice for anyone who loves camping, hiking, or just needs a quick and easy meal on the go. The convenience is unbeatable—it's ready to eat and can be enjoyed hot or cold, which is perfect when you're out in the wilds. The taste is fantastic for a ready-to-eat meal; it's hearty, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The long shelf life is also a huge plus, making it a reliable staple for my emergency food kit or backpack. This is a must-have for anyone looking for a no-fuss, delicious meal that doesn't compromise on quality. Its easy to use as all you need is hot water and for the price its a good value for money. However it is a balance between adding too much water and too little.

A tasty chilli con carne
This is a pretty decent, tasty Chilli, was good quality and easy to prepare. I decanted it and heated it in my camp pot. My only negative point is that I could have done with a little bit more after a long days hike, however if I had a pudding as well I suspect it would be just right.

Expensive but worth it.
Purchased this with a chocolate desert from the same brand for my sons upcoming Duke of Edinburgh hike and camp. Pouches are reasonable in weight and, most importantly, can be easily packed into a rucksack without taking up valuable storage space. My son had this in the evening alongside the chocolate sponge pudding which satisfied him greatly after a long hike. He really enjoyed both. Expensive, but purely a one off purchase to cope with limited space, restrict overall weight and ease of convenience during his time away. Tackle those issues and the battle is half won !! Simply place pouch into a saucepan of boiling water and cook until hot. However, could be eaten cold if circumstances dictated that. Pouches are tough enough to ensure contents remain safe despite being squeezed into a rucksack next to other items. Ingredients are basic and wholesome. Shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture. Worth the purchase despite the price!!

Wayfarer Packet Meals
Good for convenience and last a long time without being in the freezer or fridge. Keep them in the cupboard. Glad i got them and might possibly get more if they don't sell out !

Decent small meals, but overpriced
These are great for walks and camping, nice and compact, easy to use as taste great (well anything does after spending all day on the hills). However, for the amount of actual food you get (3/4 of a standard tin), they are very over-priced and not good value for money at all. Many of the variety packs are all the same flavour, rather than a mix so to avoid getting bored you have to buy them separately. Additionally the actual range of meals is very limited. Considering they are the 'official' camping meals of the D of E programme, I think this should be re-assessed. The students partaking and encouraged to buy the through the programme are are being exploited . When you're talking on average £6-£7 a bag meal, this can easily add up and it'll cost you a small fortune over a couple of days. There are plenty of other competitors out there who produce similar items for sport, bodybuilding, diet convenience (i.e. Huel etc.) and a much better price with a great range of products. I'd recommend you look elsewhere.

Very tasty meal when camping
My son used it for his tea on a scouting expedition. He warmed it up on a trangia cooker and said it was really tasty and he would eat it for his tea at home. Also had the all day breakfast
