The Human Organization of Time: Temporal Realities and Experience (Stanford Business Books)

Very nice overview of an important topic
While it might reasonably be argued that everyone is preoccupied with the topic of time - primarily their own and how it's used/abused - it's probably also safe to say that very few people think carefully about it and fewer still actually study it. This book is for people who are fascinated by the topic of time from both an abstract (what is it?) and practical (how can it be best used?) perspective. The author covers a broad array of topics and backs up his points and arguments with a lot of carefully documented references. I found this to be a very interesting and enjoyable book.

Time and so much more
This book, by Dr. Allen Bluedorn, is about much more than what many might think of when discussing "time" in a generic sense. This book is a history of time, and more importantly it illustrates our deeply rooted relationship with time and time-keeping. I learned a great deal about what I would call the social fabric of time, about why we even bother with keeping track of time and about how our organization of time in our personal and vocational lives tells a great deal about us as individuals and as collective groups. I would highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in history, in management, or even as a great discussion generator about the philosophic underpinnings of time. Bluedorn should be commended for making what could be a mundane topic very exciting and very approachable.
