Spurtar 1/2'' Drive Stud Remover Bolt Extractor Nut Splitter 1/4" to 3/4"

i had a tricky situation with a stud that needed to be removed without causing further damage than had already been done by the gorilla that installed it. funny thing is i already had one of these stud removers i bought about 45 years ago. although I’ve never ever managed to remove anything with it, its still knocking around in my toolbox, mostly just for the nostalgia of it. Anyway when i started looking for something to do the job i saw this version. I immediately clocked the teeth on the wheel which grabs the stud. my old one, (British made btw) had just some checkering on the wheel. i read a few reviews and ordered it for the next morning. I took the opportunity to make sure i had sprayed plenty of wd40 the night before. I also put some tape around the stud to help the wheel bite into something. the offending stud was out in seconds, no damage. very very pleased. I have no idea about the manufacturer or where it is made but this is a quality tool and puts my old one to absolute shame, very good value too.

Excellent, took a 5/16 thermostat housing stud out cleanly. You do need space but if you take your time it works well. I gave liberal coat of penetrating oil to stud bolt, when extractor arrived I put a small piece of tape around the stud (another reviewer tip) and GENTLY applied pressure. Straight out despite struggling with grips for 1hr 30mins. Save your knuckles, give this tool a go.

It works well at removing studs from all sorts of places. Easy to use and comes apart simply for cleaning.

Brilliant pit of kit tried for ages to remove 3 studs on mini exhaust used this and came out in mins

Used to remove a heavily rusted 8mm bolt sheared off in an alloy engine block. Wrapped some electrical tape round it as per another review and left penetrating oil on it overnight. Was glad it worked as drilling out a steel bolt in an alloy housing would have been challenging.

Didn't work, ended up drilling the bolt out, not sure if just the bolt was just too stuck or the stud remover not fit for purpose. 3 stars as just rounded off the bolt.

Excellent tool, well made and helped me remove a round bolt with a sheeed off Allen fitting inside was last resort before playing to have removed, definitely worth the money and having in tool the tool box

Great timing. We had an issue with a broken stud on my old ATC three wheeler the day this arrived. First I was surprised at how heavy it is. This thing is fantastic quality for its price, to the point of superior quality. It looks as good as it feels. Needless to day it made short work out of the stud and pulled it out so easy. My son was curious if it will install them too, which it will as we have 3 studs to install in his MGA. I have no doubt this will work and I will update if it will not. Now it is a bit large for tight spaces so be aware of that, and it is offset so it will not spin in an exact circle like a socket so do not get in a huge rush unless you are very coordinated.
