Exactly as expected, works as it should for retention properties.

Nice holster
Just bought one a few days ago. Like it a lot so far. Didn't even need broke in. I have it on a bianchi accumold elite duty belt. Light and comfortable.

Tight fit for Glock 17!
Gets the job done for your class A belt but do not expect to draw from it. It’s so tight the Glock 17 barely comes out when tugging it. Takes literally all my force to draw from this holster.

Very good duty holster.
I've been looking for a good duty holster that suited my drawing style, and build. I also needed something that would hold my Smith & Wesson SD9 VE. Which is not easy to find as it is not a common duty weapon(yet). My Smith & Wesson is closely modeled after the Glock 17(I think it fits several others too), which this holster is suited for. So I tried it out, along with a gazillion others at my local police supply shop. And it performed the best and felt best on the hip. I know many guys cannot function or breath properly without the latest tacti-cool stuff to be had. But for me, less is more in most cases. This holster is simple. But not as simple as one would think at first glance. The Pinch-Retention-Devise is pretty effective in lieu of a bunch of buttons, and levers and stuff. The thumb strap is not cumbersome at all. I've practiced a lot of standard police style drawing... bringing the gun up to a two handed grip, a one handed grip, shooting from the hip, and drawing from a sitting position(i.e. sitting in a car). And I did it all more effectively with this holster than the other level II and level III holsters I tried. This holster is pretty much the perfect blend for me. Allows me draw and re-holster in a way that feels very natural to me. I will be using it for armed guard work. If I were a cop that worked dense crowds a lot, I might want a bit more retention. But beyond that I choose this one. The holster belt loop is metal reinforced and sits on the hip nicely, with a contour that pushes it off the hip just a bit. I dont have to pull into my side quite so much to grab the gun as with other holsters. And it hangs just a slight touch lower which is also good for me. Very happy with this holster. Great construction, good retention, and able to quickly draw with a natural feel. Quality product!

YOU WILL FIGHT WITH IT TO PULL YOUR WEAPON.
The pinch retention is holy cow TIGHT. Even with a slow upward draw, you are fighting tooth and nail to pull it out from the pinchers. Can't return because I need this for a job, so I'm going to have to see if I can modify it some how. I can't trust my life to something that takes 2 hands and 10-15 seconds to pull. Other than that its very well made, and looks like it would provide years of use. Don't know if they are all like this, or if I got a dud.

Will Scratch Your Gun
Watch out for the thumb release metal button.....it will scratch the gun when removing it from the holster.....haven't found a good way to avoid it yet.....also the draw can be very difficult out of the holster....may get easier with more frequent use,
