Used on ash guitar body.
First time using, the other reviews saying it’s hazy maybe got something wrong? I stained, applied grain filler, sanding lightly in between coats until the surface was smooth, then clear coated and it turned out perfect just fyi you can’t really stain it after you apply this unless you sand it a lot, I didn’t want to burn through the grain filler and have to restain making it blotchy, just a nice even surface then clear and you’re done. Not hazy.

Disastrous Experience
My experience with Crystalac Wood Grain Filler was disastrous. I believe this was because compared with other finishing products the manufacturer provides very few instructions on how to use the product. I read the few directions on the package and on their website. I also watched the simplistic video on the website. I even read many of the helpful reviews on the Amazon page. But nowhere did I find any advice about the optimal temperature for using the product. After much work preparing my oak kitchen table, I began to use Crystalac when the temperature in the room was 82F. This was a huge mistake. Crystalac immediately dried before I had a chance to scrape off the excess. The table was a mess of white streaks on the surface above the stain. The only way to handle this situation was to completely sand down the table to the bare surface and start over. I have used products that advise against using when the temperature is over 85F or 90F. But when no mention at all is made about the best temperature range to use the product, and when that upper range is so crucial to the successful use of the product, this is a significant problem for this product.

Turns cloudy when finished
Easy enough to apply and sand but it does NOT dry clear. It looks milky when sealed over with lacquer sanding sealer. What's worse, after 6 coats of sprayed on finish the grain is still very open. TimberMate is far superior.

If you need a grain filler, use this one.....
I have used this product for several years. i purchased this small container to introduce a friend to it's qualities; water-based, easy application, easy clean-up, dries clear, no solids, and sands well. I fully recommend this product over any other filler I have used in over 50 years of amateur and professional woodworking,

Don’t waste your time or money!
Don’t waste your money or your time on this product. Does not completely fill porous wood grain even after 6 coats and several days of drying time in between. You will wind up sanding it all off and starting with another product

Fills grain and wood pores
Easy to use, took dye well; sands ok especially if you wait 24 or more hours.
