I purchased this sub woofer to replace the factory sub woofer that came with my 2004 Jeep Wrangler. I have had two other cars before this with premium sound systems and this holds up quite well in comparison. In our Kia we have the infinity sound system and in an old Silverado I had dual 12" sub woofers with a 900W amp to power them. When I first purchased this sub about a month or two ago I had planned to use a smaller mono sub amp but unfortunately when it arrived it was DOA. I ended up returning it and have been unable to see the performance of this sub with my head unit, polk 6.5 and 5.25 speaker setup. So last week when I had saved up enough money to purchase a JL 250W mono amp I was ecstatic to finally get some nice low frequency sound out of my setup. I quickly installed the amp and played around for a couple of minutes to try and dial in the sensitivity, HPF and LPF settings, and to find the right bass level for the kind of music I listen to. Once the sub started firing and I got everything the way I liked it I was really surprised at how clear the whole system sounded and how well it worked together. This is not a sub that will shake the mirrors of your car nor will it annoy your friends and neighbors as you drive down the street but it sounds great in my small little TJ. It fit great and without modification in the factory console sub box and I have not had any issues with sound clipping or excessive vibration from sound. The best part is that I purchased it when it was about 15 or 16$ shipped. Replacement subs from MOPAR or Quadratech are many times more expensive than this and would certainly be prone to blow again like the original did. If I had the space I would certainly look into getting another one of these to have two because they sound so great and are really easy on the wallet. If I have any issues with them over the next couple of months I'll certain write back about my experience.

These things sound better than any 6.5" woofer has the right to. I installed them in a Prius with an aftermarket head unit and the factory amp bypassed and it sounds amazing. I was going to install a separate powered sub under the seat but I'm so pleased with these I'm just going to leave well enough alone. Before using these I bought Boss speakers and then Kenwood speakers but just wasn't happy with either of them. During installation I left one of those speakers in the front and changed the other for the Pyramid and started some music going and the midrange bass quality was noticeably better from the Pyramid. I was fully prepared to return whichever set lost out so it wasn't just confirmation bias, I truly didn't care which brand sounded better, but these won out easily. Midrange mind you, they don't rumble but they do thump.

Sound almost as good as the stock in my vw jetta

This is the PERFECT replacement speaker for your Jeep Wrangler TJ console. Great, great, great, great, great sound for very little cost - might be the best value in speakers and I'm not exaggerating. If you're using the stock console / plastic you need to clip off the tabs with needle-nose pliers but this took all of 25 seconds. Also, need to tie together the four wires (2x positive, 2x negative) from the tiny amp into the two connections in this speaker - just patch + with + and - with - and you'll be good to go and in phase. Cannot recommend enough. You won't get that boombox feel from this - that's not the point do something else if you want to rattle windows on your block - but you will get satisfying, deep tones to compliment your other speakers esp. on the bar above. If looking for a soundbar (above) compliment I went with Polk Audio DB651 - discontinued but fantastic value. Needed some modifying (drill into the metal) but not very difficult to install and just like this bad boy you get a lot of bang for the buck. Good luck! CFO

Unlike most folks here, i used these to upgrade my 6.5 speakers in my home theater towers. I gotta tell you, for this price, these speakers bring incredible value. They are well built and produce a substantial amount of bass compared to my original OEM- which are the OEM speakers in my Infinity Primus P252 tower speakers. Bass from these speakers are very punchy and clean. Again, for the price, you cannot go wrong.

I needed this to fix my 10+ year old Promeida 2.1 speaker system. When I ordered the OEM part was unavailable so I tried this. It will work but with some compromise. The woofer fits in the cutout but be warned the black grill will be unusable as it will now be too loose. Yet I store it under my desk to that wasn’t a big concern. Also, the plugs inside the speaker system are different sizes with one fitting and the other being smaller and not working. This was resolved by me by cutting the subwoofers plug down but if you wanted a better solution a wire refit on the speaker wouldn’t be too hard. The audio quality is strong but in my objective opinion I prefered the original speaker. But for the price it is a worthy tradeoff.

Used this as a replacement for a blown woofer in a subwoofer in my soundbar system -pleasantly surprised at the improvement.

First why 4 stars; no paperwork with good specs and the terminals are barely marked (+ and -). The speakers work great and were a replacement to my stock 2019 Ford Ranger SCREW cab truck. If you are buying these for the same truck, you WILL NEED the speaker adapters an the wiring harness or you will not be able to install them. With the adapters I got, I had to cut off the inside tabs and using a rotary tool, sand down the the inside ring a little to get these speakers to fit properly. The wire harness I poke a hole in the rubber boot thathas the wires from the tweeters to run my harness inside, but I had to replace one of the connectors with a normal size connector besuace the wire harness I got had one small connector and one normal size connector. Speakers soud great and do not distrot cracking up thrash metel loud. \m/

These are amazing speakers the sound is so clear and crisp and very loud the bass is amazing u get a 8 star out of 5 from me I definitely recommend these for the price they were a replacement speaker for my book shelf speakers will definitely be buying more in the future

En mi caso tengo un amplificador básico, sencillo, pero las bocinas responden bien lo e llebado al máximo con otros amplificadores y te sorprenderá la calidad del sonido en cuestión de materiales y como esta construido 100de100, un imán de buenas proporciones.

Very pleased with the sound. These speakers give nice clean bass all the way down to 40hz in my tower speaker build. Definitely recommend them.

Unbelievable price and quality. I replaced the TJ Wrangler one in the centre console and it is so much better than the original
