In every way, these perform as described. For me, the .7 pens write just a bit too wide. I think I’d been much happier with the .5. They are great pens. UPDATE, January 17th 2026, After having them and using these for a little while, I had to add another star. It turns out I have grown to like these much more. The thicker barrel took a little getting used to, as also the thicker writing line. But these write and flow wonderfully. I like them a bunch! ANOTHER UPDATE!!!LOL!! I just discovered, these pens write upside down!

Love these pens. Very good ink quality, no smearing. Best part is that they can be refilled at a very reasonable price. I have a job that requires me to do a lot of handwriting, so I am very picky about my pens. I used to use 207's, but hated the fact that the refills cost more than another whole pen. These Pentel pens are as good, if not better.

Love, love , love these pens! Apparently so does everyone that I work with because they’re always trying to walk away with them. I had to start taping my name on them. They don’t bleed and the ink dries relatively fast. The design is cute and they function well.

I have specifically purchased this pen in red and black for over 5 years now. This unique blue tube that goes against the actual ink color makes these pens different. Needle tip helps with checking small boxes on paper yet, writes like a normal gel pen. Pentel gel actually writes until the gel ink runs out. Many other gel pens I have tried run dry if a air bubble forms. Highly recommended.

Probably my favorite pens I’ve gotten in a long time. Amazing buy. I do a lot of writing and notebooks and so far they are perfect for it.

The Pentel EnerGel Deluxe RTX pens did not meet expectations. The set was incomplete and quality felt compromised. I expected a reliable product but was left disappointed.

I think I'm the one keeping these guys in business. Needletips, are my favorite style pen, the ink flow on these pens are perfect. I buy batches of these boxes at a time for my students, and frankly these pens disapear quickly. Frankly, I see my coworkers steal these pens quite often. They are my favorite go to pen. Be ware, ink will be wet when it comes out so it is susceptible to smudging, but frankly, I feel that is a necessary quality to get the flow just so perfectly. If you wanna enjoy writing then these will feel perfect. if you are looking for something where smudging, may be a concern I'm sorry to say this may not be for you.

Pens are very easy to write with, easy to hold onto, and the ink dries quite quickly

So glad I bought a box of 12. It makes my writing look better. Has a good weight to it.
