EasyShade 50% Black Shade Cloth Taped Edge with Grommets UV 12ft x 8ft

This is a 50% darkening G.H. shade cloth. I tossed it over my 6x8 greenhouse and added a few ties. I didn’t tie it that great and considering I’m in the country and the wind can be ridiculous, it is holding up well. The temp has dropped at least 10 degrees or more which is what I need in the summer months. I can easily remove for Winter, Spring seed starting.

This product will not stand up to any strong wind at all. Two weeks after I hung it up a wind of about 30 - 35 mph came through our area and ripped out several of the grommets and tore the fabric. We have much stronger winds in the spring time, so there will be no way that this will stand last through even 1 spring much less a full year. Very disappointed.

My newly planted orchids (cymbidium) in June were getting sunburned and this covered them all summer, I attached to the fenceand the cover still allowed for breezes and rain. Now the weather is not so hot and I took the cover off and the orchids look happy. I just folded it up and put into the garage for next summer. I hope to see flowers in January! (I live in the deep south)

This was a great price for the shade cloth, so I decided to buy one. It's well made and HUGE for the price! It's just what I needed to partially shade my little garden here in the desert! We have very intense sun, so I'm hoping that this year, my plants will be "more comfortable" beneath it! Wish me luck in getting beans and corn this year, and happy gardening to all!

THis product is made from some odd material - recycled tires. The material is too fragile compared to shade clothes I have used previously. Moreover the product was not the size I had expected/ thus NOT WORTH THe PRICE. This is the reason I am allways reluctant to buy onine. The product descriptions are not accurate or sufficient.

It was just the right size and easy to install.
