Update: It’s 4:52 in the morning and I’m awake. I hate this monitor with every fiber of my being. It is so loud that I always have the sound off because it makes my daughter’s sound machine sound 50 times louder than it actually is - so this means I have to rely on me hearing her through the doors.wlls or looking at the monitor for the red line (which is always high because the sound is so sensitive). It also doesn’t look down as much as I need so I can only see the bottom half of my daughter right now. I’ve moved around the camera a bunch but I think the only way to make this work the way I need is to mount it on the wall. It’s too late for me to return the monitor but I’m so frustrated with it that I might throw it away and just get a second infant optix camera. Such a waste of money.—— I bought this to upgrade from our bare-bones infant optix monitor and after less than 2 months of use I can’t use the monitor without having it plugged into the wall - it immediately dies if unplug the charger. It’s a small but annoying inconvenience. The monitor has so many features that it’s crazy to have something so basic be a flaw.

After trying two other monitors over the past two years, we can finally say we found one that meets all our needs and most importantly enables us to keep an eye on our very active two year old in her “big girl” bed.Save yourself from hours of research, trying to read and compare all the baby camera/monitor reviews and posting on mom blogs - just get the Summer Infant Baby Pixel Video Monitor! It provides you with all the features you want and you aren’t going to find anything better.Our main concerns were getting a good camera with quality imaging (day and night), good sound so we can hear when our daughter gets up at night (this happens quite often) and an easily viewable monitor with temperature control. We are also very conservative when it comes to wifi with baby devices and video storage, so we did not want a system that sent our image and video feed off to a remote server. The monitor fulfilled all our wishes and after using for a few weeks met and exceeded our expectations. Below are my top 3 favorite features:Camera Set Up:Setting up the monitor and camera was easy. We followed the directions and had no issues at all pairing the camera and monitor. Unlike many other baby products, I didn’t have to watch a YouTube video to help me set this up.SleepZone Boundary:The new technology in this monitor is perfect for anyone who has a little climber like myself. I was able to set a boundary box around the edge of my daughter’s bed and was alerted with a sound when she was about to leave the bed to explore her room. This feature is truly priceless because with all other monitors on the market you don’t know your baby has left the bed until you hear noises from whatever mess they are getting into as an aftermath!Temperature Display:We live in an apartment building so the temperature can change significantly based on how other units are regulating their temperature. Seeing the temperature on the monitor easily tells me if I need to turn on or off the fan, raise or lower the A/C and this will be super helpful in the winter when I need to regulate heat during the colder months.I plan to purchase another one of these monitors to use at Grandma and Grandpa’s house when they babysit and will most definitely invest in buying extra cameras for a playroom one day. My review is for an additional camera purchase. Works as good as the one it came with. Switching between cameras is fairly simple but there should be an option that switches to the camera that hears a noise or at least let you set up a perimeter alarm and still cycle between cameras. You cant do both. As far as the entire system......Video quality is not great and battery life is not good either. Only lasts a couple hours.

Awful picture quality: Nothing like the picture of the baby on the listing. Awful battery life: We just got our shipment about 2 days ago. We had it plugged in overnight then unplugged for a 2 hour nap. When I turned it back on at bedtime (730) it was dead by 830. We were hoping to buy 3 addl cameras but for the amount of money we’d be spending it’s really not worth it!Other disappointing factors:I really wish we could set the screen time out to be longer than 30 seconds. But then the battery would likely die after 10 minutes.When you want to change cameras, or talk to the kid you have to go into the menu.The VOX doesn’t work well because it seems to pick up the white noise machine more than the baby.Each time my infant woke up I only knew it because I activated the screen after thinking I heard her down the hallway but I didn’t hear her through the monitor even with the sound all the way up. Returning. Looking for another option.

(I was really nervous with the reviews, but glad I dedcided to try this one anyways. Had the last explore model and when I needed a new camera for my baby I decided to go ahead and upgrade. This thing works great, has long battery life and looks even clearer. I like the touch, though it has buttons to press so I wish theyd just made it full touch, though it looks nice and the slimmer camera is helpful. The only con I have with it is that it is a little loud compared to the other one. I have air units though so it is loud in the rooms with them on but even the 15 dollar just sound one knows how to cycle it out and suprised that this one doesnt do a better job concidering the last one dis so well. But its good overall! If you are contwmplating changing devices, if you can already move your camera I wouldnt bother the differences arnt worth an upgrade.Update: cant get the screen off and its been only 3 days of me having it. Its supposed to turn on when you pick it up but for me its staying on nkw so concerned about tonight when I'm trying to sleepand not gonna help with the battery

We purchased this monitor in the summer because our other monitor (same brand) stopped working. The battery was no longer charging and it would not connect to the power cord. Now this monitor is doing the same thing! The battery is fine but it will not connect to the power cord to recharge. I have tried it with different power cords (from the camera and our other monitor of the same model ) and it will not work. This is brutal. We have two small children and will have to spend more money on cameras.

Al parecer es un buen producto pero en nuestra casa no funciono. Perdía señal si estábamos en la planta baja y la cámara en la habitación de arriba. Creo que es fundamental que cuente con buena señal. Nosotos tuvimos que realizar la devolución por ese motivo.

We ordered what is pictured here to replace the broken screen of our current baby pixel touchscreen. Ended up receiving the better baby pixel zoom HD which is great, but the cameras are model specific so we can’t use our old camera as a secondary camera to this screen.

We love this monitor and the extra cameras. They set up with no issues.

Needed an extra camera. Its perfect and compatible with the set we previously had.
