Is it breathable? My son tends be warm when he sleeps; will this make him sweat?

Wow! I guess this is a hot-button question! 😅 Based on the wide range of responses, this seems to be highly variable based on each person. But I will say this—I am about to purchase my 3rd of these. I bought one for our guest futon years ago, and liked it so much I bought one for my son when he got his first big boy bed, about to do the same for my daughter, and am realizing I should get a new one for myself and my husband (we have been using the guest one for a while). Except for the cotton futon mattress, we all sleep on natural latex mattresses, and only ever use cotton sheets. My husband and my son run and sleep HOT but are perfectly comfortable with this mattress protector. We love it because it is free or harmful chemicals, warrantied, well-made and comfortable. Can’t recommend it enough. Hope this helps!

Does it make a crinkling noise?  I have found that with other pads I have purchased and it is annoying.

Not if you get the PREMIUM version!!! Totally worth the extra $5. It’s silent, and the cotton/ terry surface also helps the bedsheet stay in place instead of sliding around on top of it.
