This mat is absolutely gorgeous! I was blown away with how pretty it is and it makes me want to use it.It's thickness/padding is perfect. It's thick enough to support you while doing poses and is nice for your hands during downward dog. The length is standard and great for any yoga practice. East to clean and drys fast. This mat does have slippage when you use it at hot yoga and get sweaty. Not terrible but there is some. I use a towel over to solve that.Would highly recommend for any beginner or advanced yoga enthusiasts.

I have been doing yoga for over 10 years and have cycled through my fair share of yoga mats.I’ve had the expensive Lululemon mats, and although the designs are cool and they are durable, they stain easily, are super heavy to lug around (6+ lbs for the 6 mm ones), and are NOT non-slip (in my opinion, even though they—along with nearly all yoga mats—are marketed as being non-slip). I have never had an issue with staining, weight, or slipping on Gaiam mats.I actually started yoga with a very inexpensive Gaiam mat, which got the job done but wasn’t thick enough to support during certain poses (like boat pose and others when you are resting on one knee) and it fell apart after using it 1-3x a week for a year (the areas where my hands and feet are placed in downward dog started ripping up and little pieces kept falling off), so I was hesitant to go back to a Gaiam.This mat, however, is more premium than the one I had before. I love that it is offered in so many different colors and styles. It’s beautiful, lightweight yet thick for excellent support, and sticky enough to hold poses. As for durability, only time will tell, but from other reviews, it seems to hold up well. I may even buy another one for home use if they go on sale for Black Friday 😊😊😊

A beautiful and functional mat. It is very thick and soft. I am new to yoga and wanted to get something that would make my experience comfortable while I learn with my children. I find it sticky enough not to slide all over the place and it stays put on my bamboo floors just fine. The color is very peaceful and beautiful and the design is modest and really adds to the style of the mat, giving it a bit more character while preserving its simplicity. I would guess it is a bit more bulky than the thinner mats when it is rolled up, but it is not a problem for me because I don't travel much with my mat and we do yoga at home as a family. It did have a slight odor that vanished in a couple of hours when I took it out of the package. It has absolutely no smell to it now (I have had this mat for only a few days). Overall, I am pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend this mat for any yoga lover no matter the level! I was very surprised at the price of some mats available on Amazon and online in general. This mat is priced a bit more than some of the cheaper versions I have seen online (and the reviews definitely pointed to some nasty chemicals in those mats too) and in stores, but it definitely has a higher end feel to me and it is very reasonably priced for a mat that has no harmful chemicals in it (at least according to the manufacturer and the packaging info). I hope it lasts a long time.

I purchased this mat when I took up at-home yoga and strength training, and so far it has held up very well to several months of daily use. The mat did have a strong chemical odor when I first received it, but after I hand-washed it with soap and vinegar and left it to dry outside for a few hours, the smell became barely noticeable and is now gone entirely.As far as texture, the bottom of this mat grips the floor well enough to stay put, and the top of it is comfortable and nonslip, providing a stable foundation for my workouts. I have been using it every day for yoga, push-ups, planks, and even as a softer landing spot for jumping rope, and thus far it shows no noticeable signs of wear and tear. It's easy to wipe or wash down every few days to get rid of any sweat or dirt that may have accumulated.One note: I'm not sure this product would work quite as well for tall people. I am just 5'3" (160 cm) tall, and the mat is pretty much the ideal length for me. If I were a few inches taller, I think this mat might be too short for some of the things I'm using it for (such as planking). I'm giving it 5 stars because it is pretty, affordable, works well, and is the perfect size for my height.

I've recently wanted to get back into yoga to help bring a bit more mindfulness and flexibility back into my life. So I spent a few hours reading reviews for different mats the other night before settling on this one. The main complaints that I saw from other customers were about the thickness of the mat and potential slippage while practicing.I just came away from my first session today and here's what I've found. The thickness of the mat is nice, and gave me plenty of cushion without being thick like some of the memory foam style mats on the market today. It's thicker than my previous mat, which my wrists were happy for as I have hardwood flooring. As far as slippage goes, unfortunately there was some slipping happening in downward dog. But that's the only time I noticed my hands or feet sliding in any position (down facing or otherwise), and it only took me walking them back a tiny bit to correct my pose. So, not really a deal breaker for me, but I would suppose for someone that is more advanced, or someone who has balance issues, this might be an problem.All in all, this mat feels sturdy. It stayed put on the floor, even if I slid an inch or two across it in downward dog. It had plenty of cushion for my wrists and knees. And it has a really nice finish and little to no noticeable scent that reviews for other similar products tend to have. So I give it a 4/5 stars for being a great, budget friendly option that --- might not be perfect --- but is pretty darn good for the money and will serve me just fine.

This is a good yoga matt , I’ve used the same one for almost two years and it held up just fine. I clean it often and at first it was a weird artificial smell but that fades over time. I recommend it for beginners , and it is a beautiful design

It came with a few imperfections that I decided to not pay attention to. But whats’s important to know is that YOUR HANDS WILL SLIDE!! Even for a dry workout at home.I wish I could return it, but it’s too late now!I tried a B-MAT Strong at my yoga studio today and made a big difference on how I hold my poses so I’ll going for that! That’s what most of the instructors and people in my yoga class use, other than the lululemon ones that I won’t pay 💰Just don’t get this one unless is to do crunches in your living room. It is cushiony for that!

Bought this one with discount, my first of this brand. It is good, I have been practicing more efficiently with it since it doesn't slip and I can keep my postures better. It is thick enough for my knees, and has a nice pattern.
