AudioQuest5 m Forest USB-A > B High-Definition Audio Cable

Cables do make a difference. I bought this cable to replace a monoprice 15' usb cable between my laptop and an Ayre QB-9 dac. I use monoprice for almost all of my cabling needs, and I highly recommend their Redmere HDMI cables for anyone looking for a high quality audio/videophile hdmi cable at a very reasonable price. The 15' monoprice usb cable worked fine as far as passing the data-- no drop-outs etc., but when I compared the audio between my SACD player (Ayre C5xe-MP) and the Ayre QB-9 playing the same album (The Band- Music from Big Pink) the SACD sounded better. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. This test was using the Mo-Fi SACD and a 96kHz FLAC download from HDTracks. I then switched to the AudioQuest Forest cable. I was not expecting a big difference with the Forest cable but I got it. I was pleasantly surprised that with the Forest 15' usb cable the QB-9 version sounded as good, maybe better than the SACD.I am well aware of placebo effect, but really do try to be objective. To me the Forest cable made the music smoother, fuller, with much better bass.I plan to do further testing, but so far I am very happy with my purchase.

I didn't want to spend this amount of money.... BUT, it was worth every penny. You're gonna tell the difference. I guess, time will tell regarding the quality... wanna see if this is gonna last / if the cable is durable.I'll keep you posted. Great product (so far) September 2020. Musicians, CABLES MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

There is no possible way for a USB cable to make a difference on the quality of the audio. The only factor that truly makes a difference with USB is the length of the cable, and for the record, 15-16ft is way too long. Do not buy these cables that is a ridiculous price.
