I don’t put heat on my hair…just occasionally blow drying my natural 4c Curls…
I usual wear my hair in protective styles. But, like some women, stress made me want to try something new. So, instead of cutting all my natural hair off, I invested in this slightly scary straightening brush after watching LOTS of videos. I asked my friends who were all shocked that I only had a blow dryer with a rarely used comb and even less often curl diffuser attachment. I also purchased heat protectant spray. Below are the before (aka my natural thick curls prior to blow drying (1,2) halfway into a braid down (3), and after TYMO!Hair was deep conditioned, washed with emollient sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, and a leave in before dividing into plaits to blow dryer. Apparently, I was wrong blow drying my hair on high until steam came up 🤯. My bestie immediately took over my huge ole head of hair and blew it dry moist spritzedwith heat protectant spray. The.n she preheated the TYMO. I started to panic and kinda wanted s drink to calm down as I flashed back to my Auntie with the hot comb on the stove, wiping on a towel before pulling it through my hair burning my 5yo forehead. (Yup, still bare the scar and remind her 46yrs later 🤣😂). My friend started at medium and I actually thought she was running her fingers through my hair checking to make sure it was dry. After two hours, my big old head of hair was straighter than when I wore a relaxer and I have very 4C curls and am tender headed because I rarely comb it (always in protective styles)! I was shocked at how good it looked and soft it felt… literally a throwback to 2014 when I had my last relaxer! I trim my ends every 12-16 weeks as I put in my protective styles and had actually cut 1.5in off about 6 weeks ago. Just added a bit of hair oil and some silicone- BAM, done and done to root! And when it was time to wrap for bed…. BABEE! These strands were like.. “I see you gurl! I know what to do!” Whip… didn’t even need a clip to hold prior to putting on satin sleep cap. I am in awe of my hair! It’s so soft I’m getting whiplash from shaking my head, lol. Now, I did have one scary “burn” moment, but I think it was because we sprayed heat protectant, turned the heat up higher, a few strands got hung on the brush and pulled out with the first pass. Also, be careful to not turn brush off and it automatically shuts off after 2hrs. However, my hair is straight to the roots. We were done in about 2hours, but had to blow dry, add in heat protector, and mentally prepare myself. My hair is very thick and I was able to make a ponytail with my smooth hair. However, it is softer and smoother than when I did relaxers. Since I don’t put heat on my hair, I see this lasting a LONG time. I’m in between braids, so I plan on using this until the next braiding session so I can learn how and get my hair done faster. I’m pre sure I can skip the blowdry portion and just go from clean washed to straightening brush. It didn’t get too hot and I never had the fear of my ears or neck being burned. And I have plenty of volume, because I have a ton of hair. Looking forward to playing with this and seeing how it goes since I’m definitely not a wig gurl (the glue breaks me out and tears my skin). So be brave! Try some heat on those tresses (with protective spray!). Take your time. Start on low heat and adjust slowly. You will get faster and before you know it you’ll be a pro. And no more hot metal combs from the gas stove coming at your Bergamont coated scalp as you tremble in fear! Thanks TYMO!! (I’m still not ready for a flat iron or curling iron… baby steps yall)!Slightly less “Fuzzy”B

My favorite straightener!
I try not to let myself be Influenced by internet videos but after watching so many different videos of women using this straightener I finally gave in.When my hair is long it takes about 45 mins amd several passes to get my hair straight with traditional flat irons. But this one it only took about 15-20 mins. Love that the heat is between the slats so I haven't burned my scalp and I don't lose as much hair using this one.It is definitely my favorite straightener.

TEEMO Ring Hair Straightener Comb - The Perfect Blend of Convenience and Results
I recently purchased the TYMO Ring Hair Straightener Comb, and I must say, it's become an essential part of my haircare routine. This innovative product combines the best of both worlds by acting as a comb and a flat iron, making hairstyling a breeze.I absolutely adore this hot comb-style straightener. It performs exceptionally well when it comes to achieving perfectly straight roots without the risk of burning myself (unlike my boyfriend's attempts with the TYMO). It leaves my hair looking as sleek as if a professional stylist had done it. Surprisingly, I actually prefer it over my flat iron. It allows me to work with larger sections of hair, significantly speeding up the straightening process (usually around an hour, give or take a few minutes). To get the best results, I always start by blow-drying my hair. I haven't tried straightening my hair without pre-blow-drying it, mainly because I live in a very humid area and rely on humidity control products like "WOW" to combat frizz. The only challenge I haven't quite mastered is getting my ends as straight as the rest of my hair. Admittedly, I'm due for a trim. I still have to use my flat iron on my ends to make them look nice. To ensure a smooth finish, I use a brush to chase both the straightener and flat iron, as I've found this technique delivers the best results, especially for my damaged ends.Occasionally, I've experienced the straightener shutting off when I accidentally hit the button. However, overall, it's well-designed, not too heavy, and comfortable to hold. It's worth noting that the back of the straightener does get quite warm, although not hot enough to cause damage or discomfort—just enough to be noticeable. As a tip, I like to approach straightening from different angles to ensure that all my curls are properly straightened. This means working under the section, above the section, and sometimes on one side of the section, depending on where I'm working on my head. Additionally, I don't use the highest heat setting to avoid potential heat damage, yet it still manages to leave my hair bone straight. Here's why I'm loving it:Pros:1. Efficient Styling: As someone with naturally curly hair, I was initially skeptical about whether the TYMO Ring could replace my flat iron. While it doesn't give me pin-straight hair like a flat iron, it delivers a fantastic blow-dry look that I adore. It's a time-saver, and I can effortlessly achieve a sleek and stylish appearance.2. Silky Smooth Hair: Using the TYMO Ring leaves my hair incredibly soft to the touch. My husband even commented on how my hair shines after using it, which is a huge confidence booster.3. Versatile Styling: Unlike my flat iron, the TYMO Ring allows me to do various hairstyles with ease. It's particularly impressive at getting close to the roots, which is crucial for someone with curly hair like mine. You can even use it to touch up curls if you prefer roller sets.4. Temperature Control: The five heat settings cater to different hair types, and it heats up in just 20 seconds. This feature is a time-saver during busy mornings.5. Anti-Scald and Auto-Off: The anti-scald design instills confidence, and the auto-off function after 30 minutes of inactivity ensures safety.Cons:1. Position of the Power Button: The power button's placement can be a bit inconvenient during styling. I've accidentally turned it off a few times.2. Auto-Off Notification: While the auto-off feature is handy, I wish it had an audible alert to notify when it shuts off. I've had instances where I continued styling with reduced heat unknowingly.Accessories:• Glove: I didn't find the glove useful due to the textured dots, which made it uncomfortable for touching the hair. I prefer not using it.• Clips: The included clips are fantastic. They provide a secure hold while styling.• Bag: The TYMO bag is cute and made of quality material, making it a great addition for storage and travel.• Detangling Brush: The detangling brush is decent, though not exceptional. It serves its purpose but could have improved bristle design. In summary, the TYMO Ring Hair Straightener Comb is a game-changer for me. It might not replace a flat iron entirely, but its convenience, versatility, and the quality of results make it a valuable addition to my haircare arsenal. Plus, it comes at an affordable price point, making it even more appealing. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient hair straightening solution, I highly recommend giving the TYMO Ring a try. It's certainly transformed my hair routine for the better!
