Lightweight and nimble alternative to gimbal.
I use the handheld stabilizer often for moving shots otherwise done on a gimbal and get very good results. It is very easy to use and to get good shots. Low angles are esp. easy to achieve due to it's top handle design. The shots are smooth and can happen in realtime without rehearsals. Esp. good for public events when you can move around people inconspicuously. Best part is you can be creative in your movements and get great results without having to carry around another rig. I use a quick release plate on this and my tripods to make changes fast and easy.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. The quality itself is decent. The hot shoe mount is removable which is nice. The only really disappointing thing is that the screw for mounting a camera is a bit too long for the threading in my camera. I added a photo to this review so you can see. There’s just a little bit too much length in the screw, enough for the camera to spin freely when screwed in all the way. I had to find a 1/4 20 nut so that the camera wouldn’t move around. If that wasn’t an issue, I’d give it 4 stars.

This product is amazing I have used it for shoots attaching multiple items on top; often attaching my led light, my phone, ect. usually using different types of cameras that were held fine (canon t4i, canon t5, and a GoPro hero 3). The problem I do have is the bottom screw which holds the camera often tends to get stuck in between the spaces and can be a bit tricky to pull out. Not a problem but something to be aware of is the plastic part at the top feels a bit cheap but does not fail when needed. This piece is also removable which is something to be aware of. The grip does feel nice and overall this was a great purchase and I would be willing to buy again.

A Great Stabilizing Camera Handle / Mount
This is a great, inexpensive stabilizing handle for camcorders. I have a very small handheld camcorder, but my hand is not very stable any more. I mount the camera on this and then mount the microphone (or light) on the top of the handle and go. It works great when shooting a scene such as following someone down a hall or walking while holding the camera down near the ground, but also works awesome to sit the camera on a table or bench or wall because it is slightly elevated and keeps the camera dry and clean. I have also used it to put the camera on my dashboard because it lays flat and doesn't tip over after every bump or turn. It's actually one of my favorite pieces of equipment in my collection.

Shaky cam is a thing of the past
People ask about using these on a tripod and so on but the purpose for these is moving around while keeping your camera shots steady. In our age of digital cameras with image stabilization as a function, this extra measure of security takes the stable quality of your videos to the sweet spot.Shaky cam is a thing of the past. It does *not* have a solid feel to it. If you want that there are plenty of metal versions of this which will add considerable weight to the camera's weight, introducing you to the hand and wrist fatigue that goes with it.This video stabilizer has a disarmingly light feel and with a little practice, you'll find you only need a light touch to keep it stable while you walk, jog, or even run across smooth or rugged terrain. This is a great addition to your videography toolset, and at this price, possibly the best practical tool for the least expense.

Be careful of over-tightening the phone-grip.
The stabilizer grip in general is very good...unfortunately the phone-grip cracked down the center and broke.

This stabilizer is a champion’s tool
This camera mount was my reliable sidekick across 21 countries, up the slopes of sixteen mountains, across every ocean in the world, and even through a couple dangerous encounters while making documentaries in the Navy. It has truly been through hell and back, and it finally took a 60 foot drop from a mast pole to break it (along with my camera), and it only snapped the underslug stand.A lot of people complain about the mount’s weight. I think it’s well balanced right along the “U” where it curves, and is light on the ends. I would put my camera more towards the rear of the mount (I have a D3) and let my lens (usually a Rokinon 35 mm) rest on the rail. It doesn’t remove all shakiness (it’s not a gimble), but it does make it stable enough to where you can remove any remaining instability with a quick touch of the “stabilization” tab in Final Cut, iMovie, or Adobe Preview (or whatever your preferred video editing software may be).Ultimately, this was the exact rig I needed to make an on-the-go documentary, and I even used it more than my shoulder rig AND my gimble. Definitely worth the low price and served me well. I would definitely recommend to anyone trying to take better action shots, especially in documentary making. I bought this rig years ago and broke it late 2018, and I’m only writing this review now because I’m about to buy it for another project in South Africa I’m working on next month.
