2 Spineless Prickly Pear Pads

Pads came well packaged. This was my first time trying to root pads. I dipped the bottom of each pad in powdered rooting hormone then buried about half inch deep in cactus potting mix. I tried hard not to mess with the pads and they are solidly rooted now after about 2-3 months :) no signs of growth or fruit yet but I imagine it takes a while.

Be patient - these will take! We started ours in a mixture of potting soil and sand and are happy to report they have both ‘taken’ and we split into two different pots to give them room to grow.
