I have been using this for 2 years now. It’s a staple and I can’t live without it. I have used it all. High end. Low end. No mousse or foam beats this one for my 3A hair. Perfect hold and perfect curls. I use it in on dry hair to refresh after wash day, always tames frizz and brings back life to my hair. Smells amazing, the price is right, and it looks pretty on my vanity. 😊

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been this happy with a mousse. I decided to try the Cake Beauty Curl Whip because my daughter uses their hairspray and loves it—and I’m so glad I did. First of all, the smell is absolutely divine. It’s like a light, sweet lemon dessert scent, but not overpowering at all. I actually look forward to using it just for that! What really surprised me is how well it works on my fine gray hair. Most mousses leave my hair feeling crunchy or stiff, but this one is the complete opposite. It gives my hair body and fullness while still feeling soft and natural. No crunch, no stickiness—just light, bouncy volume. My hair looks fuller and healthier, and it holds without feeling heavy. I will definitely be buying this again!

2A-B high density, thin diameter, high porosity, soft finish long hair here. This is the most efficient and satisfying styling product I've ever used. Works well even on damp hair, results clumpy not stringy. Cuts down drying time compared with soaking wet styling. Only problem: the scent is extremely strong. Gives me eyelid eczema.

Since Dove Style curls mousse is discontinued, I have been looking for a comparable alternative and I think I’ve found it in this product! The smell is divine and as long as you don’t use too much it works wonderfully. I have double processed (balayage) on wavy hair and using K18+ Cake Whipped Mousse is working really well with conditioning and frizz Management. I highly recommend this product.

literally only use these and its perfect for my 3b/3c curls. not too heavy but packs enough moisture and hold to give my hair body and volume. finally a hair product line that doesnt smell like coconuts.

I purchased the Cake Beauty Whipped Curl Defining & Volumizing Mousse in September of 2024. I'm still working on the same bottle now in July of 2025. I was very excited to try this mousse as reviews online were glowing. I felt a little disappointed though. I have long wavy hair that easily gets weighed down. I need products that will reduce frizz and give hold so my curls and waves can shine through. This mousse did give light to medium hold, have a great sweet lemon scent (like lemon pie), and define my natural curls some. However my problem is everything I use this my hair gets so dry and tangled by the end of the day. If I try to diffuser with this in my hair the same happens. I've tried layering with a curl cream and ended up with stringy stretched out curls. I've tried light leave ins underneath, more water, less water, etc but always get the same result. By day two my hair is almost matted in the back and my ends are super dry. This hasn't happened with other mousse like herbal essence or garnier fructis (which you would expect since these have alcohol in them). I also can't put this mousse near my scalp for volume because it irritates my skin so much. It is very sticky, after I apply to my hair I have to wash my hands with soap and scrubbing to get the residue off. I imagine this would cause buildup on the scalp. Overall I regret buying this because it doesn't work for what I want for my hair. Looking at other people's photo reviews, some of the positive reviews the hair looks stringy and buildup-y to me so maybe it's just a preference thing. Originally, I bought this for heatless curls like socks curls or those foam rollers curls but even for that I didn't love it. Also random side note- the bottle is really tall so I had to store it sideways on my shelf and it started to leak a brown liquid that stained some of my items stored around it.

i used this product along with the cake curl cream and umbertuto something curl gel and it made my hair very defined, smells amazing and made my hair last longer than usual 🩷 and its pink

I love this for super curly hair! My daughter has type 4c hair and this makes her curls gorgeous! It controls the frizz, keeps it soft and in place, but definitely doesn't look greasy-looking. She gets so many compliments and people are always asking what I use! NOW MY HAIR, which is closer to type 2a, this is horrible for! It will make my waves look greasy and it's not a good look at all. My grandma who also has curly hair was constantly telling me "my hair looked dirty." I stopped using it for myself and started only using it for my daughter. So, if your hair type is 3a, 3b, 3c, 4a, 4b, 4c then I think this would be perfect for you! But if your hair is closer to 2a, 2b or 2c, then forget it. It wont look good on waves.

Not only does this mousse smell delicious, a little goes a long way. Definitely worth the money and a good price for a good product.

smells so delicious i literally want to eat it. i have 2C-3A hair (wavy-curly) and it holds them SO WELL. absolutely no frizz, literally eliminates it. buy it rn, so good omg.
