Jaffa Cakes - Biscuit and Jelly Covered Chocolate 300g

Feels like eating a marshmallow but it’s bread and chocolate

These are really good. The orange tastes like eating a fresh orange. Given that the price is four times the price at Aldi, I think I'll get them locally.

These are cheaper than the brand name Jaffa cakes, but you get what you pay for. They aren't as good but they are fine for using in trifle or layered desserts.

I only wish I had paid attention to the reviews. Mine were terrible! Now I see that so many people had the exact same experience. The box arrived in a bag (shipped from the UK??) and was beaten up. The cookies were all smashed together, the top of each stuck to the bottom of the next one, the chocolate peeled off, they were terribly dry and stale...just awful! What a waste of money...absolutely no redeeming value to buying these, and flavorless because of the staleness.

Shipped super quick, the box was a little beaten up because it was shipped in a bag but the Jaffa Cakes weren't affected. The biscuit was nice and soft, and the chocolate hadn't oxidized. So yummy it was hard not to have a sleeve in one whole sitting!

Let me preface this by saying I've never had a Jaffa Cake before, so I don't know how good they can be. What I can say is that these are good. The cake part is soft and fresh, and not overly sweet. The orange flavor is pleasant and not overpowering. The chocolate coating is rich. The cookies arrived undamaged and fresh tasting. All in all... tasty.

I love Jaffa Cakes.... these did not arrive well though. The chocolate was all melting and when it resolidified it did so into singular tubes that couldn't be separated. If you tried to break a cake off you got have a cake. Either breaking across the middle or leaving the top behind and giving you just the biscuit. texture seemed.... stale. Which isn't great for a confection. So overall disappointed with this order.
