We have a new puppy who has now been with us for a number of months. After having been though a lot of pet products here are the standouts. Cheap Rawhide: This rawhide is one of the more affordable versions however it is very thin and small and our 8 month old puppy can consume on in about 15 minutes or less. Probably best for young (baby teeth) or small dogs. I recommend the premium rawhide. These can be 3 to 6 times thicker which really matters. The puppy has to chew on it rather than break it into dangerous pieces. The price per pound is reasonable for the quality and the time it takes her to go through one. Note that there are many chews out there to choose from and some can be incredibly expensive if you do the math and consider the pound price, like $35-70 a pound or more. Just hold upright and dump the kibble on top, give it shake and serve. Or take your time and stuff each part by hand. Makes for a fun toy even without food. Our dog out grew most of the snuffles and all plush toys as she got to where she could simply rip them a part. After many hours of researching different rawhide bones and many trial and error of buying different rawhide bones, I decided to go with these based on the extensive five star reviews that they’re large they’re thick they don’t fall apart easily on the dogs and that they last forever well that couldn’t be more true previous rawhides that we would buy for our dog wouldn’t even last a week and they were making him sick they would get so flimsy and soft in his mouth. That pieces of it would either get stuck in his throat or when he was chewing them they weren’t the proper size that they were actually going down the back of his throat and choking him with the size of these bones. They’re perfect. They can’t fit all the way in the dog mouth therefore it’s not a choking hazard. They’re thick and they’re large so they last a long time you’re not having to put a new bone out every day and they don’t fall apart into mucousy material. These are the best bones ever. My dog has been using the same one for a week. The only reason I’m gonna get rid of it is because after a week laying around on the floor, Tomi, that’s a sanitary risk, but that just shows you how long they will last these are the best I will never buy anything different if you have a large breed dog and they like to chew on things and wanna keep their teeth in their mouth clean I recommend these they are a non-choking hazard they do not fall apart. You will not have little pieces all over the floor in the back of your dog throat.

My heelers absolutely love these things! They usually go around burying rawhide bones but for some reason these chips stay with them and keep them busy for hours. they are much thicker than other brands and large enough for my adorably aggressive heelers.

Ok, I will be honest, I was really worried when I first bought these since the pictures in the product description didn't have the word safety spelled correctly so I had some reservations about how these were made. I was surprised about the number of them in the box, how thick they were, the size, and how well they last. I get the unflavored ones and the dogs don't seem to mind! However, I'm not quite ready to try them myself to rate the flavor so, hopefully, my 4-star rating on behalf of the dogs is accurate :) My 16 year old border collie gets quite excited when the box arrives! He loves these! The sizes of the pieces are pretty consistent and they are thick, not paper thin like some brands are. I have border collies and larger collie mix dogs so having bigger rawhide chips is a plus! They are also pretty aggressive chewers, these last pretty well. The rawhide chips/strips are tied together in the bag with plastic stripping like what you secure heavy items onto a pallet. The strapping is kind of weird and a bit annoying when you are trying to give the dogs a distraction quickly. The bags are not resealable which isn't so much of an issue in a dry climate like I'm in (UT) however, moving to a hot and humid state in the future, I will need to invest in a food-safe plastic tote to keep these in the pantry so they don't go bad. I think these are great value for money, especially when compared to pet-store retail. I have 4 dogs so food, treats, and chews take a decent portion of the monthly budget so, buying in bulk saves those pennies, and these are great to use as a reward after training or when my pups go into their crate. Rawhide chips have been great to help with cleaning teeth, our newest rescue dog even though he's young (around 2-4 years) his teeth look about the same as my old border collie! His teeth are starting to look better now with these chews. I don't let my dogs chew them when they get too small, and they only get them after a meal. One of my dogs is notorious for barfing bones back up on an empty stomach and some rawhide does it too but, having these after a meal has been ok.

They are Sabrina approved! She just loves them. I like the quality. They are thicker. Easy for her to hide and me to find! She’s a tad sneaky!

I can’t believe how GREAT this product has been for my little Yorkie! First of all, it’s affordable. This is a big deal to me because dog treats have gotten expensive and don’t last very long. This treat is BOTH cheaper AND lasts WAY longer than anything else I have bought. One piece lasts her weeks! My puppy is just under a year old and is very curious and active. I am busy and was feeling guilty for not playing with her more, even though I give her lots of attention, it never seems to be enough. I realized that I needed something more to keep her occupied and THIS IS IT! I didn’t realize how BIG these would be, but she LOVES the size, like she has won a big prize. This keeps her occupied for hours and she seems to almost go into a flow state chewing on it. There seems to be a big pushback against rawhide for some reason, but I’ve tried a munch of alternatives and they don’t last. It has been great! It seems healthy and natural.

It was very disappointing to find that these Raw Hide Chips are totally NOT thick Cut at all! They are just the regular, thin, white rawhide chips like everyone else is selling! This is very annoying to me because I already have a huge bags of the thin white rawhide and I specifically was trying to buy thicker, somewhat puffier, rawhide chips for my dogs who like the puffier style chip. I used to buy extremely nice, thick, puffier, Rawhide Chips from Fosters and Smith years ago. They were awesome and came in plain and flavored, and didn't damage tender dog mouths and gums! My dogs absolutly loved those Rawhide Chips! I have been looking for that thicker, puffier kind of Rawhide chips ever since the F and S company got bought out by Petco, who then discontinued all those great F and S products! Because this 1 lb bag of Rawhide Chips is advertised as a thick cut rawhide chip, I had hoped I had finally found something similar to what I used to buy from F and S! Sadly in my case, these are totally NOT thick at all! Some of them are even thinner looking than other brands. I feel that this is False Advertising, so I am returning these chips ASAP because of that!

Chips are too big. I wish the were pre cut for smaller dogs.
