Silly question: who has tips on packing this thing? Got it for husband and he said his suits were all wrinkled. What’s he doing wrong?

I have had a similar bag that I pack for my husband’s travel for the last 8 years and have had very good success with using plastic covers from the cleaners over suits and separately over shirts. I put in suits first. You have to smooth the suit out and then fold or roll the sides to fit in the suitcase, using the plastic bag in between the folds. I try to put no more than 2 shirts per cleaners bag to have more control. For the shirts, I cross the arms from the shoulder so that it resembles if you held you hands in front of you, smooth it all out and then again roll it in using the plastic in the crease. Then I make sure to use the snap in straps and especially the foam roller strap in the middle, to keep it all tightly in place, before closing. He usually is able to carry a suit, extra pair of slacks and 3 dress shirts in the hanging compartment. Any other items go in the pockets folded. He is 6’1 and average build, so the shirts and suits do hang over the sides, but the rolling technique has worked well. Also, the plastic helps with creases from folding up from the bottom. Last tip is be careful that the cuffs do not get placed in a fold. They need to be somewhere below the foam roll, but above the bottom fold. When he gets where he is going, immediately take everything out and hang it in the closet. If needed, you can hang things in the bathroom and run the shower to steam it out a little.

Will this fit in the overhead bins on the new American Airlines planes? (Domestic)

This bag was sizer bin tested to accommodate overhead bins on most major US airlines.

mine did not come with a shoulder strap!!! is it a seperate purchase??

This style wasn't designed for shoulder strap use. Not included.

Can it be transported on top of a bigger bag? Some small bags are specially designed to be fitted on top of a bigger one, is this the case?

No, it is not designed to attach on top of another bag but it does have a strong enough handle system to attached other bags on top of it.

Very premium quality case. But beware, you cannot add more than a couple of days of clothes to this after the one (maybe two) suits.

Purchased for overnight trips where a business suit and shirt are required. No need for ironing. Trolley format makes this an excellent bag.

Delivered with scratches on the plastic foot stand. Some of the threads are not done properly. In any case a good product that has unique purpose.

Bought this to improve upon my last carry-on, as I was tired of massively wrinkled suits. The reviews are true: you can fit a huge amount of clothing in this bag. My first trip included one full suit, two pairs of pants, and three long-sleeved dress shirts, with all the usual undershirts, workout clothes, sundries and such, and a pair of dress shoes. For my size, a stout 6', the tails of my shirts and suit jackets did fold up, but various straps and covers provided meant that any wrinkles were not creases, and they hung-out easily on arrival, or with just slight bit of ironing work. Plenty of pockets and a very sturdy handle. The only thing I had to get used to was having only two wheels to work with while rolling, but that's easy. And it fits nicely in both United and AA baggage sizers with no issue, even fully loaded. No problems traveling with it as a carry-on though multiple domestic or international flights I've taken with it. Update from Jan 2020: I've flown with this as carry-on on all major US domestic carriers and Hawaiian Air, plus United international, Emirates, Jet Airways, Air India, Vistara, Spice Jet, ANA, Avianca and Singapore. Only Emirates hassled me a bit but it was over the weight of what I packed not the size.
