I would buy again *EDIT* Maybe
I am using it to power 2 Rockford component sets custom in my 2014 Silverado front doors ( Fiberglass bottom pocket). Tweets are 1 pair flush in door panels and 1 pair in factory dash location. This puts the load at 2 ohms and the birth sheet says 210 watts rms per channel. It screams loud and clear and has had no issues. I have pushed it hard in 85 to 90 degree temps and it never gets scary hot. Just gets warm which is expected for non class D. In a pick up truck equipment real estate is scarce. This amp packs good clean power in a small foot print. The C.L.E.A.N. technology makes it really easy setting the gain properly. The only complaint I do have is the LED in the bass knob is too bright and is distracting at night. I mounted it in my ashtray and can easily find by feel and can close the door and light is no longer an issue. I suppose it could be painted or covered in another fashion as well. You will wanna do something cause it's too bright. The last generation of knobs were better shape wise and LED glow. Still too good of an amp to let that deter from buying.***EDIT***I decided to upgrade from this amp and another 2 channel amp to a single 4 channel amp. I decided upon the Rockville RXA-F2 2400W Peak/1200W RMS 4 Channel Car Stereo AmplifierI was somewhat skeptical due to the price, but the CEA certification and specs said it was a decent amp. Upon first sight, the build is of decent quality and finish. It is a great sounding amp and is louder and cleaner than the Rockford before it distorts when only using the front channels of the Rockville and using the same setup otherwise to compare the 2 amps. The Rockville is fuller sounding too. The Rockford is hollow and the mids aren't as pronounced. The self gain option is nice for novice installers on the Rockford, but your not getting as good of an amp as you may expect with the Rockford name. This cheap amp has got me disappointed in Rockford. On the other hand, I found a decent brand for less money. I am waiting on a set of Rockville components for my doors presently. I have a feeling they are gonna make me disappointed in my higher priced Infinity components.

Good sound, pretty loud, still working after 4 years.
This is a decent sounding amp, still chugging along after 4 years. Sensitive to hot signal input, it will put it in safe mode after a hot signal for a while.

I went from ehh... to ahhhh!! Back to ehh :(
So to get right to the point I was really disappointed at first, this amp was not giving me the volume or SQ I was hoping for.. but after about a week messing with this and that and everything else in between I'm in LOVE with this amp.. it got 4 12" EV's SCREAMINGGG!! My SUV sounds like a rolling concert. SUPER LOUD AND SUPER CLEAR... SQ is top notch. Between this amp and the tone characteristics of the EV's, I seriously cannot ask for a better combination of things to come together the way they did to give me the exact sound I was looking for. It does get really warm bordering being hot, but plays great.UPDATE: To keep it short this amp sounds great, easy set up, plenty of power..BUT.. I had to replace it with a different amp.. it gets WAYYY TOO HOTT.. LIKE YOU CAN LITTERALLY FRY AN EGG ON IT. I added 9, yes 9, fans onto my amp rack to help with the heat. The fans helped alot but still got WAYYY to hot for my liking. Soo hot in fact if you left ur hand on it, it would burn you. With all this being said it only shut down on me 1 or 2 times and that was when it was 95°f or hotter out.All in all its a great amp, but gets way too hot for me to be comfortable to continue to use it. I'm sure if you wired it up to 4ohms instead of 2ohms that would help. And as long as you dont push it too hard it might not get too hot for you.

I had read many reviews that were 70/30 good to bad with overheating issues etc
Wowzers!!! This amp is a class all of its own! I had read many reviews that were 70/30 good to bad with overheating issues etc. I have had fosgate amps before, about 20+ yrs ago good then and just as AWESOME now. I have it powering 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch P1S4-15" woofers and OMG!!! The BASS this thing hits with is phenomenal...........so much better than my old 12" This sounds way better than the class D amps as it's a class ab and has the full frequency range so that i am able to use it on a wider range of speakers, has 2 channels and i didn't even need to bridge it also PLENTY of room left on the gain too!!! Also just FYI it's always better to have the extra juice to avoid trying to push the amp too hard and clip the signal/blow your speaker(s). This amp is one of the best i have ever owned and the boxes are sealed so i use a little more juice than a ported box of the same speaker size and no heat issues yet and worst case just install a fan from a computer.....

Fosgate 500×2 punch
So here's the setup for my Trailblazer ss, pioneer 8" head unit, this fosgate 500×2 for the front doors 3way components. Fosgate 300×2 for rear doors 2way components. A Rockville mono RXD-5 for 3 pioneer 10" subs in a ported enclosure. These Fosgate punch amps have exceptional sound quality and plenty of power, the system sounds really clean. Fosgate for the 'win' .

Great, Budget All-Rounder
Coming from a department store amplifier, one week with this amp has introduced quality sound and confidence in my audio system. It delivers reliable power, and you know this because Rockford Fosgate is kind enough to include an amp dyno sheet in a box - a pleasant surprise. I believe this is a solid choice for a Mid-level amplifier. The adjustment controls are standard, with HP/LP filters for different applications and Bass Boost. Overall, the amplifier has performed well. Its one pitfall is how hot it gets from fan-less, convection cooling. Ensuring a good mounting location is a must for any amplifier. RF suggests a 1 inch space around the heat sinks.

Punch Power
Small and packs a punch. Relatively easy to install and set up, experience with audio equipment helps. Now I've got it set up, it's living up to it's name and, I can't believe I'm saying this, but, I think I need to turn it down!

Hits hard
Using this amp to power one JL Audio 10w1v3 @4 ohms bridged, and it hits hard. Installation was easy because of the automatic high/low level inputs, I Bought the Rockford Fosgate RFI2SW low level converter (not included) and tapped in the wires going from my stock deck to my rear stock amp. I also purchased PLC2 separately to adjust the level because THIS AMP DOES NOT COME WITH THE REMOTE PUNCH CONTROL.

Solid build, solid sound delivery.
Nicely assembled with a weighty, quality feel. I am using it to drive a set of 5.25" JBL/Harmon components in the front doors and am very pleased with sound produced.
