Small but loud and clean sound
These speakers are small yet exactly what I wanted. The sound quality is very good and clear even at louder volume. I have them hooked up as main right and left speakers to my older Sony 7.1 100 watts/ channel receiver and they handle the power without issue. Sound is excellent for their size. I knew that they wouldn’t produce deep bass but for my listening it’s not an issue. They’d work great as part of a multi channel setup as well but for me they’re perfect on their own. Black plastic casing and metal grills look nice and the construction seems solid. I recommend them if you’re looking for a small pair of speakers that will fit anywhere. Good sound, just don’t expect them to provide deep bass but

Good sound, small package
These are amazing little speakers! We are using them for our main TV and it's doing the trick, and they're pretty incognito. Our living area is open, about 25 x 25 or so, with these speakers by the TV, and remote speakers in the back of the room for the dining area. Good sound from such a small speaker, overall happy with them.

Great addition to a medium size LCD
Got this pair of full range 4" monitors and the Lepai 2020A+ 20watt amp for my father, who has some hearing loss and wears hearing aides all day. At night, he doesn't like to wear them / has to charge them; this is when he watches TV. He wanted small and uncomplicated- that is what I got him. Pretty much as simple as it gets, stereo wise: one L/R input and stereo wire +/-. One cannot expect extreme low end or high volumes with these monitors. They are four inch cubes with a single, full range driver. They are one step above standard TV speakers but not too far below a Bluetooth portable monitor. They sound good, not great. About a week after I hooked up this auxiliary sound for Dad's TV, I stumbled upon a pair of Bose bookshelf speakers about a decade old, model unknown. I didn't crack them open but I would guess they were at least two way, probably three, with a 5 or 6 inch woofer. These were in a closet. I brought them to my Dad and questioned why he had me buy speakers when he had these sitting in a closet. He said he forgot about them but to hook them up if they were 'better' than the 4" cubes I am reviewing here. So I hooked up the bigger, more powerful, big brand, more expensive, Bose bookshelf speakers to the Lepai 2020A+. A week later, ny Dad summoned me back to his house and TV setup. He wanted the Pyle 4" speakers swapped back in and the Bose speakers removed. He said the Bose was muddy and preferred the Pyle cubes! Pretty incredible. He knows nothing of brands or prices or quality or reputation in audio gear. He just knows what sounds good to him and it looks like I guessed right with the Pyle PCB4BK 4 inch speakers.

Great sound!
These are great little speakers for the money! Very happy with my purchase.

Highly recommend
Very rich sound for such small speakers, even at high volume. Pair them with a good receiver though. In a smaller space I might try the 3" (or 3.5") version of these. Highly recommend.

About what you should expect
I build my own home speakers, so I purchased these strictly to use as a "test bed" for various drivers. Basically I'll disassemble them, take out the driver Pyle has in there now and replace it with other drivers that I'm interested in evaluating (that's a lot faster and easier then building your own test cabinets). I did, however, run them for a few hours before they were "sacrificed". Obviously you can forget bass. The size of the driver and cabinet precludes even the slightest pretense at bass, but I imagine there's no one foolish enough to think otherwise. The midrange has decent presence, but surprisingly the treble is weak. Bear in mind I only ran them for 10 hours (maybe even less) so that might have improved over time -- as speakers are wont to do -- but I was a little surprised how lacking it was. There wasn't much in the way of sizzle. Considering there's a whizzer cone, which is specifically designed to focus the high frequencies and aid in their disbursement, I would have thought the top end of the frequency spectrum would have been a bit more pronounced then it turned out to be. Maybe with more time on them it would have been, but I can't say for certain. Bottom line is these are probably exactly what you think they are, based upon the price; small, inexpensive, non-hi fidelity speakers used for near-field listening. Temper your expectations and they should be fine.

Speakers received damaged - outer packaging OK
When received, one of the two speakers had something really heavy rattling around inside the plastic enclosure, and did not work at all. The second one had what sounded like shards of plastic rattling around. The outer (Amazon) packaging was not damaged at all, so i conclude that the mounting of some heavy component inside the plastic cabinet is not very robust. I did get to play some classical music with the one functioning speaker, but, i wouldn't call it hi fi. It will serve the purpose, namely as a pair of under cabinet speakers in the kitchen for a Rocketfish wireless setup, but I certainly wouldn't bother to use these in my 5.1 surround setup. I asked for an exchange from Amazon, and will return the broken ones shortly, but, after reading similar experience reported by another reviewer, i am not too confident that the results will be much different. I should have read the reviews first, before ever ordering the product.

Tad underwhelming
Bit underwhelming actually; Gemini said they’d be good to replace the satellite speakers for a Logitech z2300 but there’s quite limited top end
