SH01 Portable Wireless Camera System,Yellow

What a great little toy! I have had trailers for years and never have anyone available to guide me on the hitch. So it is always in and out back and forth five time to get hitched up. This gizmo works perfectly right out of the box. It is very solidly made with the camera being a steel cased unit. Not cheap feeling at all. Snapped it onto the rear doors of my van facing the hitch, turned on both the camera and the hand held monitor, and viola!Instant perfectly clear full color image. No static or interference. Backed up and put it right on the ball in one shot. Has a convenient mirror image swap feature as well. Comes with 12v charging cable for the ciggy lighter. Would be a nice feature to have a charger for A/C as well, but this is a minor thing. You can also clip it onto any kind of extension pole and use it to look under your vehicle, or in your roof gutters, chimney or whatever. At first I thought $200.00 was steep, but after using it just once I wouldn't give it a second thought.

I purchased the Swift Hitch from a 3rd party Amazon reseller called "Essex" When I received it, all it displayed was a "white" screen and no video. Obviously the unit was defective. When I called Essex, I received no help at all. I then decided to reach out to the manufacture to see if they could help me.When I called, Todd Kadis picked up the phone and helped me immediately. He informed me that "Essex" was not an authorized reseller and that more than likely they sell "reconditioned" electronics and that my Swift Hitch was most likely a defective unit that they tried to repair and were unsuccessful in doing so.Todd informed me that they would replace my Swift Hitch immediately with a new one and I received the new Swift Hitch 4 days later via UPS.Overall this is an excellent product and it does what it says. There is a distance limitation with it, probably 30 Ft. give/take, but overall, if you are using this for trailering/hauling, you can't go wrong with it.Last, excellent customer service! If you have any questions/concerns, be certain that they will pick up the phone and help you resolve the issues/concerns you have.

A good alternative to expensive backup systems. Easy to use and gives a good picture when backing up to a trailer hitch. The magnetic base could be stronger but it will work fine to guide you to hitch. The battery tends to die if not used often but is easy to charge up with the dual splitter charging cord.I have to revise my opinion of this product. It did fail on me and I was very disgusted with my purchase. I finally called the mfg and left a message about my problem. I told them I had recently purchased the system and used it only two times before the monitor failed. They sent me an email with shipping instructions to return the unit and they would check it out. They replaced the monitor with a new one no questions asked and I did not even include the receipt. The SHO 1 is a good unit for the price quality is not as good as a factory installed unit but this was 10% of the cost of a factory equipped back up camera system.

I have a single axel dump truck and a 12 ton trailer with pineal hitches. I was at a loss as to how to back up and line up the hitchs. It involved a lot of trial and error, getting in and out of the truck. I purchased the Swift Hitch and I have never looked back. The magnetic base allows me to attach it on the tail gate and see exactly were everything is located. The first time I had the camera too close to the hitch, I find I get better results if I locate the camera about 4 to 5 feet above the hitch.There is a bonus to the camera equipment, I am able to attach the camera to the right side (the blind side) and see where I am backing my truck and trailer. I also use the devise to back my motor home. I never leave home without it.

Swift Hitch SH01 Portable Wireless Camera System I've had the SH01 for nearly a year now. I did not try using the metal suction cup or using the built-in magnetic base of the camera as I didn't want to take a chance of scratching the paint, and there was not a good place on my motorhome. Instead I used heavy duty velcro (fiber side) to both the fiberglass surface of my motorhome, also to the back of my pickup and never a problem. The 'hook' side of the velcro I stuck to the bottom of the camera base and to the battery cover of the display for mounting to a convenient location inside of the MH and the other accessories for mounting the display to the dash of the pickup. Only problem the display battery failed recently and the SwiftHitch personnel responded immediately to my phone calls to my complete satisfaction. The SH02 is the same except for longer battery life. The camera works very well and I experienced no reception interference with either vehicle. I highly recommend this product!John Scott

Awesome reception and clear visuals with this little portable camera and monitor. Works like a charm, backed up to my trailer correctly the first time! Shipping fast, very well packaged. Purchased for two uses, to back up to my trailer, and to monitor my horses while driving down the road. For backing up to the trailer, the magnet is strong enough. Then I pull it off and stick it on the side wall of the horse trailer.... Only drawback is the magnet on the camera isn't strong enough for a vibrating horse trailer when going down the road. Enter duct tape....a bit of a pain but the camera is well worth it.

The LCD screen is a little bit to small but it is doing the job. Good product for back up and attach fifth Wheel.

Used this product previously and worked fairly well although image tended to freeze for short periods. Unfortunately, I bumped the original camera which fell and stopped working one day. I then ordered this product again to replace the damaged one. However this replacement one did not work well from the beginning. Even the distance from back of truck to cab causes constant cycling of intermittent snowy haze on screen for 10-15 seconds with only 5-10 sec periods where screen clears. Very frustrating and not very useful!

This product turned out to be above my expectations! Exterior finish is very attractive & overall quality is better than expected. It is a good value for the price
