JUMBO "Diver" Scallops (2 POUNDS)

Diver scallops and what I received was a joke. They were comparable to Costco's that shrank to nothing when prepared. Diver scallops are 10 to 20 per pound. These were worse!

If you are a enthusiast of quality seafood than you will recognize the difference that Giovannis Diver Scallops provides you verses the grocery store variety. The taste is sublime, and should be enjoyed when prepared with minimum seasoning! Cook as you would would a Filet Mignon, high heat, seared on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I am a true lover of seafood, having lived in Boston, Mass for years, and as most of you know, what you buy at the seafood counter of your local market just does not match up to what you were, or are used to if you lived by the shore. These are not mass harvested,scallops, as the name imply s, the are harvested by hand in cold water by divers, not by dredges pulled by fishing ships. They are perhaps the most ecologically friendly form of scallops available. So kick back, relax and enjoy a true delicacy form the sea.

A bit fishy tasting not the freshest scallops

The description for the scallop is "XX jumbo - approx 5 per Pound." This statement was not true for the order shipped to me. One pound has 11 scallops and the other has 10 scallops. I was specifically looking for very large scallops. Disappointed.

Better price if you purchase direct from them. Love their seafood it's some of the best we've purchased. It's fresh and the quality is great.
