Turtle Wax 53140 Jet Black Car Spray Polish Paintwork Protect & Restore 500ml

I washed my faithful old black Polo yesterday and the polish spray arrived today so, being as I hadn't used the car since the wash, I tried it out straight away. It is so much easier and quicker to apply and buff-up than those bottles of car wax that you pour out. The first use did make my car's bodywork shine a little more, as it ought to have. I see no improvement on the restoration front though, because those light little brushing ( rather than scratchy ) marks on the driver's door, behind the handle, are still there. I estimate that I used half the contents of the spray bottle on the one coating and polishing of my hatchback, which may provide some information as to how long a bottle might last. I ordered two bottles because the p&p charge remained the same for the two as it would have for one. I will be buying this spray wax polish again as I have always found it such a godawful, off-putting chore to pour out, rub in, and buff-up the stuff on in the old way. These spray versions are definitely the much quicker and easier way to go after nearly 50 years of performing the monotony of this sort of paintwork protection ritual on a regular basis. Eamonn

I love the polish especially how great my black roof car gleams after using this product it's brilliant. The rest of my car is dark blue so I use demon shine or Autoglym ceramic. Don't need the ceramic on thr roof as this Turtle was spray is just fine fine fine. Really easy to apply. A polish cloth on thr spread and a large microfiber to wipe of for the mirror image shiny black streak free roof. Great addition to anyone's car care section of your garage. Would have thought professional valeting teams would be very happy to use especially if they valeting Hearses (funeral cars),

This product works great, you can quickly and easily get your car gleaming. The only downside, and to me it’s quite a large one, is with about a quarter of the bottle left, the spray totally gunked up. I couldn’t clear it, so transferred it to another spray bottle, but that got blocked too. And it’s not like ive had it years, probably about two months. So I’m having to use the rest by pouring it directly on a rag, and buffing it that way which is inconvenient and doesn’t do such a good job.

As a spray wax its fast! Wipe on with one cloth, wipe off with another in seconds. As its black, it doesnt leave a white residue all over the car but we dont see any scratches being coloured or hidden. Buy as a good spray wax but not for scratch cover. Will buy again.

I got this as an alternative to the AutoGlym wash and wax as we have 2 almost new black cars in the family. Both have fantastic shines when washed and polished (not that they stay nice with the weather!) I thought i'd try this as it has black pigment in it and might make the finish to the cars better, plus one of the cars has a few light scratches on the wing mirror and I thought this might cover it up. I've used it a number of times, however I really can't see any difference, plus its a little harder to use than the Autoglym version. The instructions say to wait until the wax drys and changes colour, however this never happens. Plus its very difficult to see where you have put this on. It still buffs off to a nice finish, but nothing nearly as smooth as the Autoglym stuff. I think i'll stick to the Autoglym stuff, its a bit more expensive but you can put it onto the car whilst its wet, so saves time.

I have an all black Jeep. Only wax I have found that doesnt streak or put a while film on after using.
