Works great!
I bought this for use in my science classes for students to use. They come with batteries and are easy to read.

Works fine I was able to repair my old meter
Works great for being a low priced unit. The continuity function is useless because of a very weak sound it produces

Won't read anything
When I took the meter out of box I set to 20 volts DC to check AA battery. Meter display jumped all around to all sorts of readings. I went to ohms readings and display wouldn't show anything regardless of scale. I set to 200 volts AC and meter showed 185 v. then 150 v. on outlet. Meter is pretty but also pretty worthless. UPDATE I took battery that came with meter out and replaced it with a new alkaline battery, and meter now works fine.

Loved it until test lead broke
This was a great DMM with all the features I needed. Until suddenly without warning a test lead broke inside the probe handle and pulled out. I am a retired electronics engineer and do not abuse my equipment. More like I baby my equipment. I have never had a test lead break in decades of using all kinds of testers.

Buy Cheap, Buy Twice
In Russia there is a saying, "Buy cheap, buy twice." Sadly, this unit is a prime example of that phrase but I am learning. New to electronics, I thought this would fulfill my needs. Sadly, it does not. It is an attractively made device and does provide voltage and, somewhat reluctantly, resistance. It does not function depicting capacitance or other variables necessary for assembling student-level electronic projects. Now, I am certainly open to the suggestion I have yet to achieve a level of competence that might make this a better performer. I won't ever know as the wire from the negative probe simply came out (maybe it broke in there but there is no tearing or uneven edge of the end that just slipped out of the probe, the wire itself straight without any fraying, etc. Unfortunately, it is necessary to destroy the probe to see its attachment point. My solution was ingenious, though. I bought another unit for $21.99 here and relegated this one to history. I'm sure you will, too, should you purchase it.
