Great basic, slim profile watch
I ordered this watch to have a basic, functional wall before a backpacking trip. It's easy to set, is slim and light, and it looks just the right amount of old school dorky. I'm not taking it scuba diving, so I didn't need the water resistance of a G-Shock, so this is a great value for the money when you need a basic watch to tell time, and know it will keep running accurately.

Best Budget Watch — Sleek, Durable, and Incredibly Practical
This is hands-down the best budget daily watch I’ve ever owned. It’s sleek, durable, and super comfortable—you can wear it all day without even noticing it’s on. The classic Casio design looks great and goes with anything, and the bright backlight is a nice bonus for low-light situations. What I love most is that it’s helped me check the time without constantly reaching for my phone, which has actually helped me stay more focused throughout the day. If you want a no-nonsense digital watch that’s built to last, this is the one. Highly recommend.

Great everyday watch.
Great watch for every day use. Comfortable and long lasting. I've been wearing this watch daily for six months now, and it's holding up great with minimal scratching. I wash my hands with it on, but I do not shower or swim with it, so I cannot truly attest to water resistance though it seems okay. Watch quality:Decent. Time display:Has a light that is decent quality. Great low price watch.

The Casio F91W is a legendary digital watch for a reason—it’s simple, durable, and impressively functional for the price. Whether you’re looking for a reliable timekeeper or a lightweight backup, this watch delivers exactly what it promises.✅ Why I Recommend It:• Lightweight & Comfortable: This watch is extremely light and easy to wear all day. The resin strap is soft but secure, making it great for casual wear, work, or workouts.• Clear Digital Display: The screen is easy to read, and the timekeeping includes hours, minutes, seconds, day, and date—all clearly shown. The AM/PM indicator is also helpful for those who prefer 12-hour format.• Reliable Features: It includes all the basics:• Daily alarm• 1/100 second stopwatch• Hourly time signal• LED backlight (enough to check the time in the dark)• Battery Life: One of the biggest pros is the 7-year battery life. It’s set-it-and-forget-it simple—no worrying about recharging or constant battery changes.• Water Resistant: It handles splashes, rain, and hand washing just fine. While it’s not meant for swimming or full submersion, it holds up great for everyday situations.🧭 Perfect For:• Students• Travelers• Minimalists• Anyone who wants a no-fuss, durable watch at a low price⸻💬 Final Thoughts:The Casio F91W is a classic for good reason. I highly recommend it as a backup watch, a gift for a first-time watch wearer, or just an everyday essential.

Classic watch
I was looking for an expensive, basically disposable" watch that does the job of telling time. There are hundreds of inexpensive watches out there, but the more I read about cheap watches, this one is considered a classic. There are more F91-W's sold than any other watch in history. First introduced in 1989, 3 million are still produced every year. It's light and you don't even feel it. It has a 7 year battery life, tells the month and day, has a stopwatch and alarm. I remember Casios like this in the 80's, we called them "nerd" watches (maybe because of the calculator models). The only problem is that the light is useless, unless you are in pitch darkness. Sure, the are many other watches for the same price range, but it's nice to wear a classic watch.

A good retro style watch, but small
The F91 is apparently the top-selling watch of all time, so some people consider it an iconic look. It was released in 1989, so it's not really quite as "80's" as some people think, but it's also not that different from the F87 that preceded it. So if you're looking for something retro, the F91 does the job and it's super cheap.I bought the one with the clear strap and white/silver case, just to have something different. I'm fairly convinced it'll yellow over time but that'll hopefully just make it look even more retro/vintage.This thing isn't *just* retro, though. It's actually a very useful, very legible watch. I also have a CA-53W calculator watch and it just doesn't have as nice of a display. The F91 is clearer from all angles, with slightly larger digits, and it also has a (front) light that the CA-53W does not. As far as I know, the F91 is the cheapest model Casio sells with a light. Again, it is a *front* light, so keep that in mind. It works, but it's not as nice as the backlit models. One caveat about probably all digital watches of this era... it is small. On my 195mm (17.6") wrist, it looks and feels like a toy. That's one reason I have the calculator watch; it's at least a little bigger and looks more like a normal size watch. The F91 looks and feels like something intended for a small child on my wrist. You need to have a smaller wrist or just be a smaller person than me in general to really have this watch look normal by modern standards. That said, I do wear it at home and occasionally around town sometimes when I want to feel like I have nothing on my wrist. (Sometimes I just need a break from my heavier watches.) It is insanely light; that goes with it being so small. I sometimes forget why people wore such small watches in the old days until I actually put this thing on; then I remember it's because you can just forget you're even wearing a watch.Anyway, for a little over 20 bucks, everyone may as well have one of these. Even watch snobs generally have at least one F91.
