Waterway 218-4000 0.31" Poly Storm Spa Jet Diffuser

Delivery was quicker than original estimate. Snapped in the original jet to this diffuser easily after a little soak in hot water. This was exactly what we needed as the first we ordered was entire jet replacement that was the screw-in style (apparently the newer version). I realized the jet portion could be removed and inserted in the snap-in replacement diffuser and it works perfectly. Took a little pressure to seat it into the opening in the hot tub but once in, we haven’t had any issue.

OK, but not a great fit.Considerable amount of plastic flashing from the manufacturing process also. I gave it a 3 rating only,since I was able to accomplish a fit.Original part appears to be made from styrene and has # 218 4000 on the surface.Replacement is molded of polyester and does not show the part #.Slots are not quite size/shape to get the correct fit to the jet tabs.Needed to dip this diffuser into very hot water for a few seconds to soften the material and coax and re-mold to get the jet tabs and key tab to mate with it. Heating can be a disaster if not careful.Poly will soften and fall out of shape considerably. Waterway part site shows part having the part# on the surface as my original.Price is similar. Hmmmmm.....
