Loved this book. One of my favorite books! It is rich in stories and messages of the saints. I treasure this small book

"Prayers And Heavenly Promises" by Joan Carroll Cruz. "Complied From Approved Sources". Tan books, 1990.This is a small book, not only because it is only 130 pages long, but also because it is only six inches by about 3 ¾ inches. The book can easily fit in a woman's purse or in a man's pocket. Ms Cruz, the author, is know for compiling lists: of Eucharistic Miracles, of Miraculous Images of Our Lord or of incorruptible bodies of saints world wide. In this little book, she has gathered a collection of prayers. Many of which the devout Catholic will immediately recognize. Some prayers will be unfamiliar, which makes this book even more valuable. Towards the back of the book she presents "Familiar Catholic Prayers", such as the "Our Father", the "Hail Mary", (based upon the Gospel of St. Luke), and the "Glory Be". Chapter 12, page 79, tells you about the promises linked to the Holy Rosary, but you will find how to pray the rosary on pages 125 and 126. Interestingly, since this book was copyrighted in 1990, the list of the Mysteries of the Rosary, (p. 125), does not include the Luminous Mysteries which were introduced by the late John Paul II in 2002.Throughout this book, Ms Cruz documents the promises associated with the different prayers. For example, on page 28, the "Miraculous Medal Prayer", Cruz records that "...that those who wear it (the Miraculous Medal) will receive great graces". The whole book follows this pattern : the prayer is given, with a brief history and then the attached promise (s) described. I found this book a great aid in increasing my simple devotions. I hope you will also.

I love this book. This is the 3rd one I bought. Great for gifts. This book explains the benifits and promises of the prayers. I pray everyday from this pray book. It's like a special gift from heaven 🙏

Perhaps the most influential books I have ever read--really. No exaggeration. It was profound in the history and meanings, and Divine Messages associated with each prayer. I have not come across a most spiritually rewarding book as this collection and I am an avid reader. I highly recommend it for yourself and for those who are lukewarm on faith and prayer life as a daily habit or devotional. I cannot tell you how many copies I have given away to those who were curious about the hidden Life of Prayer. It's very Powerful...try it.

I like the smaller format (for purse or pocket) and the information contained therein. Good little reference book when inspiration is needed.

I have used this beautiful prayer book for years, so much so that the pages have worn and are falling out of it, so I had to order a new one to replace it! The promises attached to prayers and Devotions in this collection are priceless and important! I have received innumerable graces from the praying of the prayers in this book, it has enriched my spiritual life beyond imagining!

I have the leather version now too because I use them so much that I wear out the little paperbacks. I buy them and give them as gifts to friends as well for the prayers are a treasure to bless those who pray them.

Extremely happy I purchased this prayer book, countless prayers, from heaven. This book has given me renewed vigour to sit in church for an hour before the tabernacle, great booklet to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. One of my favourite prayers from it is the stations of the cross. I can now pray the stations anywhere. One of the promises to those who pray the stations regularly is Our Lord will deliver you from purgatory the first Tuesday or Friday after you pass. One other devotion which isn’t in this booklet which is from St. Bridget of Sweden is the 7 Our Fathers & 7 Hail Mary’s, the promise to those who recite them everyday is that their not know purgatory, as they will go straight to Heaven upon passing. Additionally their family down to the 4th generation won’t be dammed, I’d highly recommend people to look it up. I’d also highly recommend this booklet, and will prob purchase again to give to loved ones.

This beautiful small prayer book contains many powerful prayers and devotions and includes the promises made by Our Lord and his Holy Mother to saints and religious, including for example, promises revealed to St Margaret Mary, St Faustina, St Gertrude and many more.It also contains beautiful devotions which include devotion to the Blessed Mother, the Holy Face etc.Also has devotions to the souls in Purgatory. If you buy this wonderful book you will not be disappointed. Thank you 🌸

Inspirational. Our lord is so wonderful to encourage us in prayer by attaching so many great promises to prayers.
