Finally Waterproof!!!
UPDATE: 3-9-2019I still love this site. The original optic is on a KSG my friend now owns. It still works on its original battery. However, what I’m about to state is concerning my most recent purchase of this item. It, and any other Sightmark optic with the Sightmark exclusive QD handle is completely incompatible with the Kel Tec RDB. The QD toggle sits so far off the left surface of the optic, that it completely interferes with the charging handle. Even without the QD toggle, the optic’s body is too wide and thus, problematic. Sightmark should start designing these optics with direct screw set mount and make the QD mounting optional... I still highly recommend this optic, just not for the Kel Tec RDB. The Kel Tec RFB *might* suffer this issue, as well.I stopped buying Sightmark products about a year ago because they weren't water proof. It's an outdoors item so rain should be the reason to remove it from your weapon, right? Well, they obviously were listening when they made this optic. It's rugged, bright even at its lowest, non night vision setting, it is night vision compatible and the quick release mounts securely to any picatinny rail. My only gripe is that the little wrench used for adjusting the tension nut doesn't fit within the space around the nut. The good news is that the supplied Allen wrench can be used to push the edges of the nut around. If you have a grinder or a file and a lot of patience, this problem can be solved.

Budget optic with great quality and performance
Picked this sight up for my newly completed 9" 300blk pistol and I'm very impressed, the build quality feels more expensive that what it is, and I think it could definitely withstand some abuse. I was originally debating between the slightly cheaper and more expensive sightmark variants but ultimately decided on this one when I determined I didn't necessarily need 4 reticle options. The one reticle is very crisp and clear, no problems locating seeing it in an indoor range and I feel that I wouldn't have much issue shooting outdoors as well. Out of the box I didn't have to make any adjustments to zero the sight, at ~35 yards the grouping was very satisfactory. Once adjusted properly the QD mount secures the sight very tightly with no wiggle. My only complaint would be that I wish the latch handle rested closer to the sight body.

Great sight, worth the money. Holds zero well on 5.56
Great sight, holds a zero well, easy adjustment, easy to see, and accurate. IMO it performs as well as far more expensive red dot sights.I dinged it one star because I'm not crazy about the switch. While it's reliable, if you look carefully at the pictures, the switch panel consists of 2 small buttons. The smaller buttons aren't easy to find in the dark. I prefer the large single push button found on the less expensive Sightmark sights - push on, push off simplicity, and very easy to locate without eyes on it. In fact, I much prefer the less expensive Sightmark sights, as they are just as good, with a better button and less money - except for the fact they use the tiny coin batteries. Trying to change the coin batteries on these sights on a bench is a royal pain in the ass, and in the field is next to impossible. I had not great battery life on these other sights, so I reluctantly went with this version as it uses a larger CR2 battery. The other reason for the 1 star loss is the adjustment screws are a but mushy. A friend of mine who has the same sight commented on this also. Oddly enough, on the lesser expensive Sightmark red dot sights, they adjustment screws are crisp and precise, with positive clicks. This is a moot point however, as so far it's held it's zero right on the money. I'm using this on a .223, so the recoil is marginal at best, not sure how it would perform on a larger caliber, but I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it.If Sightmark would offer the less expensive sight with a larger CR2 battery option, they'd have a 5 star product on their hands.

Great Reflex sight for the money.
Added this to my ar-15. Quick detach is very nice once you get the right tension so the unit does not move. Optics are very clear and reticle is very crisp even in daylight. Digital switches for on/off, brightness, and night vision are tactically felt when depressed. Holds zero nicely and makes a good sight for quick target acquisition and is good for me for out to 300 yards. You will not be disappointed knowing that you spent less than half of an EOtech.FOLLOW UP Review March 13th 2016:Sight is still performing perfectly, and still holding zero after 800+ rounds through my AR from my last review. Was a very bright day at the range and the red dot and circle showed up perfectly by increasing the brighness. I love this sight, and will not spend $300 more to get an EO tech- which has a fuzzy pixilation circle. I always thought is was a clear circle like the sightmark. This is something many people do not know until they buy and EO tech. Will be getting another one for my SKS. Attached is a picture from the 50 yard range with this sight.

Great product, mil spec tested, budget approved
When it comes to the quality of this product it's definitely up to snuff for mil spec. I submerged it in water for 5 min to test for water tight integrity for the battery compartment and not a drop got past the o-ring and all the electronics still work to this day. There is zero bleeding in the redicle and is a clear picture. I used my gov issued nvg's and the nvg is perfect for your nighttime ninja use. It's barely visible to the naked eye but it's perfect when sighting in through nvg's. The only thing I was worried about was the quick disconnect because of what another guy said about it not getting tight enough but I've thrown it around plenty of times including hitting the deck from chest hieght and it hasn't budged. It comes with a microfiber cloth, directions, and a little allen for your adjustments. Now for the delivery, the package had some oil/water damage. The sight itself had a small gouge and a couple scratches on it, it wasn't used but we definitely dropped in the packaging process but I've had it for a 6 months now and have put it through some ringers and hasn't failed or turned off once. I do recommend buying some new lithium batteries for it right off the bat though, I never trust the batteries that have been sitting in a product for who knows how long

and was able to lock up better, it seems to fall down a bit sometimes ...
Honestly got it as just a shot in the dark for a holo for my Su-16. Fit right on the rail, took me about 20 rounds to sight in at 20m, moved to 100m and with a few adjustments was hitting steel at 100m almost every shot. Holds zero, even after being detached and re-attached using the quick attach. One pet peeve is I wish the quick detach bar was further in, and was able to lock up better, it seems to fall down a bit sometimes but doesn't come unlocked at all, just wish it was more fixed. Held up in rain, never fogged, the 1 MOA dot is very crisp.
