Very gentle, great moisturizer
My skin is ridiculously sensitive and prone to rosacea with redness and ugly breakouts in response to any irritants, including temperature, humidity or lack of it, stress, food, air pollution, and changes in facial products or makeup. This face cream changed my life. I use it every night. From the first application, my complexion started calming down. I am two months in and all my previous breakouts have healed and I have had no new ones. My skin looks significantly better - it’s well moisturized so lines are relaxed and dry patches are gone. As a result I am using much less foundation and concealer, which also makes it look better. It doesn’t repair broken capillaries that are the source of a lot of redness, but I don’t think there’s anything topical available over the counter that can do that. Rather, it prevents flushing and irritation that can cause broken capillaries so I’m not getting more of them. My face looks clearer and the minor discolorations are less noticeable with lightly applied foundation. Overall, I am literally comfortable in my own skin again. I have found every Eucerin product I’ve used to do exactly what it says it will do. I use the extreme dryness unscented lotion daily straight out of shower from my chin to my feet. I am at an age where crepey skin can be an issue. With this lotion, my neck looks great and so do my chest and arms. Like anything else that is non prescription, topically applied, you have to keep using it or the results fade. I highly recommend this entire product line if you have sensitive skin. I can’t say enough how much these Eucerin products have helped me, starting with the redness relief/calming night cream.

Wonderful moisturizer and it has helped reduce redness a little
I have had rosacea for about 5 years plus now, and have been using metro gel and azelaic acid to control the “acne” like bumps and reduce the redness. My challenge has been finding a moisturizer and cleanser that work to help reduce the redness and keep my skin hydrated. I have tried many many products, from drugstore to more expensive moisturizers, and very few have a actually done much. At worst, they made my skin flare up snd at best they were neutral and didn’t cause any flare ups but didn’t actually work to ease the redness. I received this cream about two weeks ago and have been using it In conjunction with the Eucerin redness relief cleansing gel. I have noticed a marked improvement in the overall redness on my skin since I started. My skin also looks very hydrated and the texture is more soft and plump. While it doesn’t take away all the redness, it certainly helps with minimizing it and it is an excellent hydration. There is no scent. It doesn’t make my skin tingle and feels soothing to the skin after I use the azeleic acid. . Overall I am quite pleased and will continue to use it. The price is great and anything that helps to reduce redness is definitely a keeper!

Fine, but not a cure all
I'm a lady that everyone knows for her pink complexion. I don't have an acne problem, but I do have this problem with my face that doctors think is rosacea or dermatitis or eczema but they just can never decide. Awesome. I also have to keep moisturized or I get painfully dry skin. I have been on the hunt for a long, long time for a lotion that will just keep the scalies and bright redness away, something worth it's salt and not just glorified makeup. And because Eucerin cream does such a great job on my body, I thought I'd give this a try. It's not heavy or oily, if you've ever had the baby oil-like experience of using the Eucerin cream, so don't worry about that. It absorbs quickly, actually, feels soft and creamy from its little tub, goes a long way, and has no cloying fragrance to boot. And it works fine. It's just that it hasn't done any better of a job with my redness than any other half decent lotion, which is kind of it's purpose, what with being called 'Redness Relief' and all. I acknowledge that, for people with skin problems, some things work for some people and some things don't. I'm not going to get offended because it wasn't a cure-all. But, despite having used it for about a year now, I haven't seen any improvement in my redness, not even momentarily after I put it on. That being said, as a night cream, it's a hell of a lot better than most of the powerfully fragrant, cosmetic stuff they push to us women. In the event that anyone reading this is on their own search for something that will work for them, I've had a really good experience with, of all brands, Wal-Mart's Equate brand's Ultra-Gentle Facial Moisturizer. Not a cream, but shockingly moisturizing. I'm also partial to Simple's Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, which I picked up at Target and has a soothing effect I've found actually works. I've had so, so much improvement just by quitting face wash and keeping moisturized. Good luck!

BEST cream for the price
I developed cold urticaria last year, which is an allergic reaction in the skin to cold weather. I had hives that looked like I was punched, and my family kept asking if I was okay because whenever I went outside, I would swell up. After visitng a derm, they told me to take an allergy pill whenever it was cold outside. However, as a commuting student, allergy pills were NOT the move. My mother told me to try this cream and I ordered the whole set (SPF lotion, face wash/gel, and this cream). The gel burned my skin a bit, and the SPF lotion was too green; however, I used this lotion and my allergy is gone!! I apply it during the day and at night because it is very light. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I was worried it would burn my skin, but it didn't! After putting my skin through ProActiv last year it made my skin extremely delicate so you would think I would have issues with this. I don't! This lotion had calmed down my redness and now I can go outside without worrying about having deep red hives within 5 minutes of being exposed to the cold. This is a lightweight cream and just apply a little bit because it is thick!! It's AMAZING what it does for only $10!! I HIGHLY recommend.

Very gentle and excellent smoothing properties
I have been using this for just under a week. Already I have noticed a difference. My skin is VERY smooth and moisturized now. I also feel less oily with zero dry scaly-ness. My redness seems to be getting less and less each day. Certainly not a miracle cream but my face FEELS better. I feel less inflamed in general and I can actually see acne scars now instead of just red and angry skin. Side benefit: my blackheads have been reduced as well. Not sure if that is because my soap can cleanse better with less inflammation or what exactly...maybe a combo of the night cream and a new cleanser. My favorite part is that it doesn't smell strong and does not irritate my skin. At one point in my life, I switched to pure jojoba oil because all the products I tried would irritate my extremely sensitive skin. This works SOOO much better than pure oil. If you have hyper sensitive skin like me and organic/natural products just aren't helping try this! I am pleasantly surprised!! My derm Dr. suggested this and I was very skeptical before. I don't need to use much and it lasts into the next day, I don't feel dry or oily.

It's just 'okay.'
I picked this up because I have rosacea and I have been trying everything I can find marketed as anti-redness. While this is a decent moisturizer, it doesn't really help much if your redness is rosacea-caused. It would help a small bit with redness after applied, but it doesn't last at all. By morning, my face is as red as always - which doesn't help if it only works when I'm asleep. It moisturizes decently, it's not super heavy, but takes a little bit to actually absorb. I will use it up but likely not repurchase.

Cleared my eczema!
This cream is a great over night cream. This is a very thick moisturizer that does not make my skin feel or look greasy. I typically put this on every night during the winter and then sometimes every other night during spring/ summer. I initially bought this to reduce horrible eczema I had had on my face for months (which I thought no product was going to resolve as I tried several prescription creams / gels), and after trying this product it totally vanished! While it was not over night, I have no doubt it was because of this lotion. My skin can be very dry, flaky and or scaly skin and this product fixes my problem immediately. I can attest to it reducing redness, as my eczema was very red and inflamed, and now I have no scaring or sign of the previous skin irritation. I have generously used this product each time I apply, and it has been over a year since I have purchased it and I have yet to run out. I plan on repurchasing when do run out especially when it becomes fall / winter as it is a life saver for dry skin, even without redness. Do yourself a favor and buy this if you’re considering it!

So far, so good: Noticeable reduction in facial redness after 2 weeks
So far so good. I'm a dude with chronic rosacea. What a pain, since I had zero acne as a teen. Hadda wait 40 years to get this particular plague. Here's the regimen. I do take a daily low-dose antibiotic prescribed by my dermatologist. When in the sun, I wear sunblock. Most of all, I avoid spicy foods and physically very hot foods. The worst thing, for example, would be a giant bowl of spicy ramen (yum!). That causes a major outbreak within 24 hours. There is, in my mind, no doubt about causality on that count. Every morning after showering, I apply rosehip oil (ASIN: B00IKD3MX6), which seems to assist exfoliation. Recently, I decided to also try this product, on account of I have a great new girlfriend—why else? I understand that reports of this product’s efficacy are variable here on Amazon. But I want to report that for me, after 2 weeks of use, there's been a very noticeable reduction in facial redness. I do the regimen of washing the face before sleep, then applying this product. All I can say, is it seems to be working. Moreover, this is not an expensive item, and as one reviewer notes, even if it doesn't do anything else for you, this is one very good face cream. Unless one of the 500+ reviewers here has reported a negative reaction, you might want to give this a try. My dermatologist offers Eucerin samples in the waiting room. I’ll ask about this particular product.
