A great book for career exploration in third grade and up!
Julia Cook does it again :) This book is full of great information for career exploration for kids. I love that it has so many options outside of your typical "policeman" "teacher" "doctor" kind of career suggestions. Perhaps the best part, though, is that it emphasizes two things many career-focused books for kids miss. First, it focuses on students thinking about but not deciding what they want to be in the future. Second, it includes a list of skills students can work on that will help them in any career, like communication skills, creative thinking, and integrity. How cute would a career project bulletin board be? Read the book, research a career, design a picture of the shoes that career would wear, then post on a class bulletin board. It's such a creative and fun approach to this topic that many teachers are required to introduce even at young ages.

A Must Read
This book explores that you can do anything you put your mind to, but regardless of your choice, in order to step into your shoes you need to be responsible, confident, and work kindly with others ✨This book takes such a unique approach in helping little ones know that they can choose the shoes they wear by being the best that they can be ✨“Just start with what you know and love. Pick out your favorite shoe. What you wear in your feet when you walk down the street might help you decide what to do.”

What a clever way to discuss future careers!
In this clever story, twins Myrtle and Erytle learn about various occupations through a discussion all about shoes. The twins learn about several different careers by taking a look at the shoes typically worn by each profession. The story also talks about the various skills that are needed for every career, which is something you don't see in many children's books. If you are looking for a fun and clever way to introduce the discussion of career options to kids, this is the book for you!
