I bought this a year ago and could never get it to work my zoom h5n the way I wanted, I’m not sure if it was the XLR cable I was using or if it was the mic. I plugged it into my wireless transmitters and it works beyond beautiful. I had actually put it up for sale and found a buyer, now that I know how to use it I love it. Does NOT create noise from shirt rubbing most importantly!

Great replacement mic
As the lead worshipper at Eastland Hills Church in Choctaw, OK, I have the responsibility of ensuring that our equipment remains in good, working condition. I have been at the church for a little over five years, and have been working as an a/v technician for several more. The reason I purchased this microphone was to replace the original one that came on the Sennheiser bodypack about 2 1/2 years ago. The ME 2 that went bad actually failed in the area where the mini-jack plugs into the bodypack, even though there is the rubber support wrapped around the cable. I'm going to assume that this new mic will probably fail in about the same amount of time, and with the same amount of uses. Being that it is used in church, only on Sundays and the occasional weekend retreat, that seems to be a short amount of time before failure, in my opinion. The microphone works really well, and has a pleasant mid-hi tone boost that isn't boxy sounding at all. I found it very easy to dial in a great eq on the sound board, and with the Lexicon mpx200, it takes effects nicely.I purchased the mic from Amazon, and received it quickly. They had a great price, and excellent communication.Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, and look forward to hearing some great preaching over the next couple of years!

Works great. Good sound pickup
Works great. Good sound pickup. The clip is small and easy to break though. We re-used an old clip, but it doesn't properly secure the mic. That's my only complaint.

Not rated for over 120 dB
I bought this mic to pair with the Zoom F2 recorder with 32bit float but the sounds was still clipping on my motorcycle that has very loud exhaust, I did a test and saw peaks of 120dB from my exhaust but this mic said it was rated to a max of 130 dB (on their website) which is why I bought it. Took the bike out and recorded some sound at wide open throttle and this thing clips just as bad as the stock Zoom F2 mic. If your project requires very loud noise recording look elsewhere.

Good mic good price
Keep in mind this is an Omni mic. So even though it captures the speaker with impressive clarity, you will hear room tone, foot traffic and ambient noise. I use it as a hidden area mic for speakers gathered around a central location like a dais. Works well when you can only mic one but need to record a to person conversation. It's another good gun to keep in the armory.

If you care about your audio buy this Mic.
I originally had a sennhiesser mic with my wireless lav but the cable bent and would record funky pops. I've purchased knock off brands but you get very thin audio and pick up all sorts of background noise. If you care about your audio buy this Mic. The cable is roughly 5ft and works perfect with a wireless sennhiesser setup

Good mic, poor strain relief
We use this mic all the time, and it is a great mic. But it has one big flaw, that costs us $130 each time. If you look carefully at the strain relief, it has a poor design. It has a strain relief portion, and then it doesn't taper off the cable. So the cable comes out with no strain relief, which defeats the purpose of strain relief. They need to taper the strain relief to properly protect the cable. We have gone through 2 of these mics each year. Eventually the connection frays at that strain relief junction.Good mic, poor cable design.
