these worked very well on my windows. very solid construction. alot of bang for your buk! only thing i would suggest is to have an option of these being keyed alike. wouldve been nice to have them keyed alike but no big deal as i only needed two locks. it might be a nightmare if i had installed many of these and had to fumble with all the different keys just to open a window.

Purchased 4 locks. Installed them on 4 Windows for a autistic child. The factory window latches pull the window tight for energy efficiency. I placed these in the center of the window because they are a lock not a sealing latch. With them being in the center you have less Leverage 2 open the window opposed to been on the sides. Just like everybody else would have been nice if all keys matched 3 different keys.

Feels sturdy and prevents people from being able to pick the lock from outside. I would use these anytime you stay somewhere, but you can even use at home. Only complaint is that the wife had a little trouble figuring out how to install it correctly by the directions, but we were able to figure it out.

My 8 year daughter is autistic and has been opening windows to attempt to get out of the house. I’ve replaced all of our sash window locks with these and it has given me such peace of mind. A couple tips: I’ve ordered about 20 so far and ended up with multiple locks that use the same key. Keys are numbered 201-209 (so far.) I use a sharpie to label number each lock. This makes it easy for me to quickly locate the key if I need to open a window. Some reviewers have said these aren’t the same size as their old locks. Mine definitely aren’t a perfect fit but I was to attach them using the preexisting holes by putting the screw in at an angle. This has worked well for us. You could also screw new holes if you need to.

Works well for what I needed, but I ordered 6 of them, three of which were for a bay window, and all of them were keyed differently. So I need three sets of keys to open all my bay windows. Also, the included screws don't dig very deep. So might need some longer screws. Overall it works to thwart my 2 year old, so I'm happy there. Not a bad product, just not as convenient from the multiple keys needed.

My 19 year old is severely autistic and an escape artist lol. We live up stairs. He figured out how to open the Windows. Talk about scary. So glad he didn’t fall out that window. I had baby gates and another kind of locking mechanism and he got through those. I ordered these and two days later they were here. I live in the country and normally we don’t get things that fast in the mail! All I had to do was unscrew the old locks and install these the holes matched up perfectly. Talk about a life saver because for those two days I didn’t sleep just in case he open a window again. Now I just carry the window keys and door lock keys around my neck. Only thing I will note: I wish that when you buy a set all the keys went to every window lock, instead each window has its own individual key!!! I had to color code them in case of emergency!!!

These fit our windows well. Before you purchase this, I suggest that you make sure the measurements are correct for you windows.
