R&B Guitar Method - Hal Leonard Guitar Method (Book/Online Audio)

Not the greatest for a beginner; but looking forward to the book once I get some more basics under my belt.

Great book. A lot of nice material to draw from!

There are alot books on the market but this one unique in that good standard songs are mixed with learning concepts. Very fun. Good cd. Understandable material. This is another outstandinding book in this series.

Fully packed with lots of styles, scales, double stops, triads, vamps etc etc. Very well put together and will increase your knowledge. Intermediate players only though.

Nicely planed lessons, well known song examples, however only short , no full transcriptions. Good start. Follow up with Cornell Dupree's book and you'll be well on the way.

Es ist lediglich eine Sammlung von Lieder (oder Teile davon) mit einem historischen Kommentar was ich eher von einem Musik Kolumnist erwarten würde. Ich habe eher Tipps und Übungen bzw. Variationen erwartet um einem Klang ein Hauch R&B Gefühl zu geben... Fehlanzeige, nix davon. Enttäuschendes Buch.

Cette méthode, comme toutes celles publiées par Hal Léonard est très bien faites et relativement complète. Elle a l'avantage de mettre l’apprenant en situation dans le style de musique choisi. De plus, les rappels aux gammes et aux modes sont bien amenés et de ce fait ne présentent pas le caractère rébarbatifs que l'on rencontre trop souvent ailleurs. Si j'avais une petite critique à formuler je dirais que je regrette un peu que les exemples soient trop courts: on n'a à peine le temps de se mettre dedans que cela s’arrête déjà. S'il y avait plus de morceaux complet ce serait parfait.
