Replacement Battery Pack for Electrolux Ergorapido, 2-in-1 Stick and Handheld Vacuum EL1014A

I have had my Exectrolux ErgoRapido EL1014A Stick Vac for a little over 2 years, and I absolutely love it. It is light and cordless which takes the pain out of vacuuming. It picks up everything from the carpets, including cat fur and even occasional sand. And it's great for quick clean-ups. I use it about twice a week, and then the full size Oreck vacuum about every 10 days or so. Recently, I noticed the Electrolux vacuuming power was starting to wane. After reading reviews, I decided to keep my Electrolux because it works so well, and I ordered a replacement battery pack. I'm glad I did. It's working like new again !! -- And it's less expensive to purchase a new battery than to buy a new stick vac.

Nive to be able to save the stick part of the vacuum and only dispose of the power pack. The only problem I had with it was the fact that it wanted to stick once I put it on but the more I empty it out, the better it fits. This is one of my favorite "house tools".

I have had two stick vacuum cleaners from Electrolux. The vacuum cleaner is nicely designed with a removable hand vac and generally has good suction. However, Electrolux must use the cheapest, lowest quality batteries. They never last more than a year or two. So, I thought it was a good idea (not great - a great idea would be incorporating a fully removable and replaceable battery) having a replaceable hand unit.However, the unit doesn't fit correctly into the body of the vacuum cleaner. The contacts don't align properly resulting in the vacuum cleaner turning on and off while moving the unit.I do not recommend this replacement unit and would not recommend the vacuum cleaner due to poor battery life.

I may need to return this unit. My vacuum is a 1000 series, but, altho this handheld part fits perfectly and runs well, it will not recharge. Once I place the unit in the vacuum-stick-stand, it turns on and stays on until I remove the handheld from the stick. It is wired differently inside. My original is EL 1063A.

It works as expected upon installation. However, if it is exactly like the one that came with the vacuum, it will stop holding a charge very well within about a year if it's kept plugged in all the time. I am going to experiment with only plugging it in when it's run down, this time, in hopes that it is that kind of battery and therefore can be effective for more than a year if handled right. I won't know the answer for a year because they don't say anything in the instructions about this. I do love the Electrolux model, and didn't see a better one on the market, so it was worth just buying the replacement battery pack.

My machine wasn't working well anymore and I debated buying a new one or trying the battery pack. I bought this and the machine is working like new again. Its unfortunate you have to buy this whole unit versus just the batteries. It seems like waste, but I am happy to have a working machine again. Its a great everyday use, light machine. I use it mainly on hard wood floors for dog hair!

I debated on whether to just buy a new product or replace the battery, however, I really like the Ergorapido for my wood and tile floors. I am disappointed that the battery lasted only 1 year and that the company didn't stand behind their product, but am glad to have my electric broom back !
