I don't know how I ever lived without it now now
First, I want to say that I am one of those people that attracts mosquitoes like nobody's business. There could be 10 people in a room that don't even notice a mosquito, but it will go straight to me and I'll have a dozen bites while everyone else isn't even bothered... I guess it's my body chemistry or something, probably how much CO2 I breathe out? Lucky me. I have been doing yard projects and even with layers of Deepwoods off Cutter bug spray, they still come for me. I even sprayed insecticide all over the yard and used a bug zapper. It limits the number of mosquitoes, but they are still a problem in the summer. I bought this and I think it works so well if you follow the directions. You have to let it warm up for about 15 minutes to get that full radius effect, and you won't get all the protection if it is a windy day and you are upwind from it. Today, I was painting the deck for about two hours in the evening (because that was the only time I could do it to avoid rain)... dusk is the worst time for mosquitoes. I only got one bite, and that was an exception because I was squatting in the grass as I was painting the side of the deck, and the thermacell was on the other side. Still, only one after two hours… That is amazing for me. Normally, Even when I wear long sleeves and pants, they bite me through the fabric. If I wear bug spray, they still come and bite me in the spots in between or wait for the spray to wear off. This is the only thing that has worked for me. Now, I just want to take this little unit everywhere! I can't believe I went camping without this thing for so many years. I already bought another unit and plenty of refills. Very excited to no longer have to hide indoors just because of these tiny terrorist vampires. PS: There is almost no scent. I know it's advertised as scent free, and it is very close to scent free. It just has a very light burning scent which is not unpleasant. It's similar to a very small citronella candle scent.

The best mosquito-repelling gadget for the money!
This device absolutely rocks. It repels mosquitoes in even the buggiest areas without any odor and without killing the bugs themselves. We use it on our patio and our deck, even putting it near us while working in the yard. It takes 15 minutes to set up its “bubble” but once it’s done, it gives you a peaceful, mosquito-free zone. One word of caution, be careful while moving or transporting it, as the repellent oil can leak. I keep ours in a zipper bag for safety.

Nearly Odorless, Works Okay at Close Range
The Thermacell mosquito repellant is a tiny rechargeable device that uses disposable cartridges to repel mosquitos. It's supposed to work in a 15 to 20-foot zone, but outside, with or without wind, we found that the effective radius was less than 3 feet. For us, it works best when placed at seat-level., and my wife places it between our chairs that are practically touching. This unit emits a small stream of 'smoke'. The refills are expensive, and they last about 40 hours for the new series. My wife loves this, but given it's small radius of effectiveness, I'm not sure I'd buy it again, especially given the cost per hour of use (three pack of 40-hour refills are currently $38.59, which equates to $0.32 per hour).

So far so good
I've used my Radius Zone Mosquito Repeller a couple of times and here are some thoughts. PROS Effectiveness - seems to keep away the mosquitos...which is why I bought it. I live in Texas and have REALLY bad mosquitos in y backyard. I'm sitting outside right now typing this review after a few rainy/muggy days...normally I wouldn't be able to do this...so that's a big success an the main thing I care about. The only downside is if there is more than a slight breeze, the effectiveness will go down. CONS Easy of use - the blue light is very faint outdoors...I actually had to take it inside to make sure it was even turned on. Having to wait 15 min. before going outside seems a little much...considering the cost to replace the cartridge. Smell - the first time I used it, there was a slight breeze blowing towards me, after a few minutes sitting by it, my stomach felt nauseous due to the fumes (it's a very slight fume, but still affected me). Value for the $$ - seems a bit expensive compared to other repellers with the 12 hour refill priced at around $13...so $1 an hour...throw in the fact that for the first 15 mins (each time you use it) you aren't getting the benefit. Radius - the company is pretty upfront about this, but it doesn't really cover a large area. BOTTOM LINE - it works, but it's a little pricey for what you get.

Brilliant product - works a treat .... against mosquitos
This product works fantastic. We were outside at night and there was no wind, no light, no fire no smoke. When one was within 15 feet or so from the device there were no mosquitos. When walking 30 or 40 feet away we were getting eaten alive. Sure it's emitting chemicals - that's the point - but I'm not having to spray chemicals all over my exposed skin which I find MUCH preferable. None of us detected any odor and everyone there is buying one as it worked so well. I get a kick out of some reviews that show photos of insects next to the device as evidence it doesn't work -- but the insect pictures are NOT mosquitos. As it's a vapor being released it would probably be less effective with a breeze - but mosquitos are not so much a problem with a bit of wind -- so there is that. I put my money where my mouth is. This worked so well I bought a second to increase the coverage area when we fly our radio control planes at night. One for the pit area which we did this time -- and buying a second for the flight line which is where we were getting attacked tonight.

This should be called Bee-No-More since its deadly to honey bees
I live in Southern California and have a wonderful backyard living space that has been taken over by invasive Asian Tiger Mosquitoes. They can breed in a cap of water, bite during the day and prefer biting humans. Fortunately they are weak flyers so the real answer with them is to find the source of stagnant water which is usually within about 50 feet. Our local vector control free inspections are shutdown during COVID-19 and I have neighbors that must have standing water (I have verified my lot) so I am trying to get by until they will come out again and inspect. A co-worker from Texas highly recommended this product and unfortunately I didn't do my research. Its basically a pesticide fogger that fills the air with a pesticide that is toxic to mosquitoes, but unfortunately also deadly to honey bees. My bee friendly backyard has 2 managed hives, and bees around all my flowering plants as they make their daily treks to the hive and back, bothering no one and doing they honey making and pollinating thing. I received the unit and charged it over night and then tested it the next on my back patio (that has a roof) letting it run for a 15 minute warmup as they recommend. While it was running I started to look at the CA warning in the box and read up on the pesticide in the cartridge. I was still reading outside as I noticed chaotic bee activity in the backyard. As I feared I confirmed online that pesticides is toxic to many things, including bees. I immediately shut the unit down and when it cooled, packed it up for return - so it probably ran for about 20 minutes. To my horror the next day, my back patio was littered with dead honey bees. I would estimate 2 dozen or more. I hate mosquitoes as much as anyone, but the cost to you and your loved ones and pets breathing in pesticide that is also destroying beneficial insects, including our endangered honey bee population is too great of a price to pay in my mind. I am back to my lemon eucalyptus oil repellent and felt I needed to warn others of the "true cost" of this device.

It does what it says, creates mosquito free zone
This is great for mosquitos. I have a porch, put it on the porch and let it work for 15 minutes as recommended, and I sit out there uninterrupted by any mosquitos. It states it will create a 110 feet mosquito free area. I am not sure about that, but I know that I can sit on the porch with a friend and there are no mosquitos. It will work for about 6 hours before it needs to be recharged, which I do not find long enough as it takes several hours to recharge. More like I need to just remember to charge it regularly at night. The refill is expensive, about 20 dollars but it boasts 40 hour coverage. I feel the device is pricey but worth the mosquito free experience. I am hoping once the novelty of it wears the cost will come down.

These Actually Work
I hate the feeling of bug spray on my skin; how is it slimy and tacky at the same time?!? I bought these hoping I could maybe just use less bug-"off" but it's very late June and we're camping on a river-front site at Wisconsin's Merrick State Park on The Mississippi River and I've barely done little more than dab a little bug spray from my finger around my ears and the back of my neck. With temps in the upper 80's and low 90's, the bugs are pretty bad away from our site; it's not just mosquitoes but, biting flies and other annoying flying things; after two evenings and one full day I'm more than satisfied with the effectiveness of these devices. The 12 hr cartridges actually lasted about 15-16 hours and the batteries about 8-9, rather than 6.5; I eventually set each unit atop a 10,000mah battery bank and I'm writing this about 13-14 hours after turning them on this morning. Of you're on the fence because you don't know if they'll do the job; jump down and buy them; you won't be disappointed. Keep in mind, these devices all vaporize insecticide; if you're worried about breathing that don't buy this and, don't expect full effectiveness on a breezy day because wind will blow away the vapors and all their repellency.
