It works, I used this to reprogram my LTE modem
I was having trouble with my EM7455 modem I'd installed inside a linux laptop. With a pretty significant amount of effort I was able to reflash and update the modem firmware to a more recent version and report it as a non manufacturer specific modem.I've still got a bit of finangling to do to get it going, but at least the modem is no longer entering a permanent sleep state on boot, and it's more of a communication issue than a power issue.

Make sure you have drivers for whatever modem you put in this thing, but it does work.
This is just an adapter board, so it's a way to connect to your M.2 modem, whatever that may be. I ended up with a Fibocom, which has an Intel chip.ANTENNAS AND MODEM NOT INCLUDED. Buy good ones, separately. And you'll need an active data SIM CARD, and an adapter to fit the slot. The cards also go in backwards, which is ridiculous, but whatever.Modems have a couple of modes, PCIe and USB, and so on. Some modes work better in some situations, some don't. your mileage will vary, but do the homework. It's not always so simple. For example, they will show up as a COM port in Windows and you'll need to send them "AT" commands over a serial terminal program. Old hacker people will be familiar. The Fibocom worked great out of the box under Ubuntu, at reduced speeds anyway, but was dead in the water in Windows. COM ports showed up, but device manager was filled with garbage that it couldn't find drivers for, and finding drivers was fraught, and laptop manufacturers like to release drivers that are locked to certain vendor IDs, so the headache and suck factor is high with this approach.Turns out it was in PCIe mode, but when I switched it to USB mode, it took off as a generic cell radio and I was getting the maximum theoretical throughput on T-Mobile. Didn't get any GNSS functionality though. Oh well. All good anyways.

Works great for flashing!
I bought this card to flash my cat12 em7565 modem to the latest firmware. Some people might get it to use as a standalone modem/hotspot, I haven't used it for that though. 5 stars, worked out of the box with no problems. I'm now running my cat 12 with the latest firmware. Good price

Works as sim card dongle with additional parts.
Doesn't come with much for instructions but it works great. I bought a android car stereo and wanted to setup a sim card mobile data line. It works but you need additional parts such as activated sim card, a 4G LTE module and antennas. I plugged in the usb and set to mobile data. It connected with no issue. It does not work as a hotspot like was mentioned in other reviews. Unless there are other modules that I am not aware of. I hope that is helpful for other android car stereo folks looking for a built in data function.
