i like the looks. I dislike the filter. I would sent it back but, its to expensive to send back to china

The fountain isn't very load and its definitely cute, having said that, the top piece is always in issue if I move the fountain. Getting the water to not overflow isn't as easy as another fountain I have that is a different model. I ended up pretty frustrated because my girls run fast past things all the time resulting in chaos. With the fountain it ends up tipping the problem piece to the side.

Not sure if this is actually safe for pets to drink out of. My cat does throw up sometimes but I feel when he started to drink from it, he seemed to throw up everyday. When I took it away, the vomiting stopped. At least the daily vomiting. Don't want to test it out again to see if this was the actual cause. I wonder if there is a way to get the fountain tested to make sure. Other than that, I liked it but I solely got it for my cats. Too late to return it I think. Didn't come with any distinguishing packaging that informed either way if it were safe for drinking from. It was just wrapped in styrofoam.

There is only one thing I can so that is not 5 star about this buy. It came with NO instructions. I have had it for a while now and gave up trying to get the pump open to put the filter inside. My luck I would break the pump casing so I just use latex free rubber bands and attach it to the intake side of the pump. That is working for me and it is very easy to do.I really like that it is ceramic instead of plastic. I cleaned it very good with Dawn dish soap before the first use just to make sure there was no harmful residue from manufacturing and packing in or on it. The small length of tube pushes onto the the little tip protuding from the pump and then give the other end a squeeze and feed it through the hole in the bottom of the top little bowl. Adjust so it is not above the water line when the water is running. Make sure the pump is set to the slowest setting before you put it into the fountain. I did not and water shot everywhere. I just stood there laughing at myself as the water dripped from my face. At least it was clean at that point.My pump is so quiet the only time I really notice it is when the water level starts getting low. Make sure you pay attention to the water level. If it runs very low the pump may just get too hot and burn up. With evaporation and the cats drinking my fountain gets refilled everyday so they have mostly fresh water each day. I just use a spout water can I have for indoor plants and pour it into the top slowly and watch the water level coming up in the lower bowl.Hope you and your cats enjoy your fountain as much as we do ours. ;oD

Smaller than expected. Functioned poorly. Threw it in the trash.

The pump does not go up into the bowl to fill it up to drain into the pool. I cut a piece of straw and attached to the pump to draw the water up into the bowl but then in still didn't spill over into the pool because there was a little opening around the hole in the bowl that the straw went through. I used a hot glue gun to seal the opening and now it works wonderfully! So it took a piece of a straw and a hot glue gun to actually get the fountain to work the way it should but it's so pretty it's worth it! My hack has kept it working for a while and my cats love it.

Once there is enough water in the fountain to cover the motor it all starts spilling out the front

Came with filters and no instructions on where to put the filters. The pump was way to small for the filter to fit inside. Looks bigger than what it actually is. More for a kitten and not a full grown cat. Other than that it works great. My 2 pitt bulls love to drink out of it even though I bought it for my cat.
