Honest to goodness...it works!
I was a little skeptical even after watching some YouTube videos on groove tools in general. I'm a mid-handicapper, and honestly because of how I swing have never had a problem getting the ball to check with my irons (usually no more than a couple yards from a 5 iron to a ft or two with a wedge). I naturally have a lot of spin on my ball just with how my swing is. But this....wow! I sharpened my SW up to my 5 just to see... and let me tell you that with my SW I got true back spin from 40-100 yds out and my 5 iron was stopping withing 2-3 feet of the Ball mark on the green from about 195-200Amazing! No jokeIs there a tool to stop my driver from fading as well?!?!?! Lolol

Fantastic regroove tool
Just bought a new set of clubs but didn't want to toss out my starter set. So i bought this tool, regrooved all the irons and wedges and cleaned them up nicely. Makes for a nice loaner to friends or backup set.The tool really does make a difference to heavily used irons. Does need perfecting of pressure and technique while using, not overly aggressive to dig into club but enough to refurbish grooves. Might want to practice on a freebie iron from the driving range.

Re-groover or cleaner?
I gave it a four and that was pushing it. First the protective plastic cap that protects the tip doesn't even fit, it just falls off. Second, unless you get the club into some kind of vice to hold it down holding it one hand using the tool in the other basically just cleans the grooves. Guy who re-gripped my clubs had such a vice, and you have to really get behind the tool with some pressure to notice any metal shavings coming out of the grooves. Great concept, but the star regrooving tool he had seemed to work better with less effort.

Amazing Little Tool Has Me Stopping Pitch Shots Like Mickelson
This thing works almost too good! I ran this like 10 times through each groove of my spin milled 56 degree Vokey and man did it do its job. My buddy I played with the day after I used this tool was standing on the green and watched my ball check up on a 30 yard pitch and said, "you might have to start playing a ball with less spin, that is unreal". So yeah, buy with confidence but maybe run it a couple times through your grooves instead of 10!

Finally Clean Grooves
I wipe down my clubs from time to time (not as often as I should) but it looked as though the grooves on my 11 year old clubs had worn down over time. I've also lost spin on the greens. Just a slight bit of elbow grease and maybe 3 minutes on each club and they are so much better now. Now some may say it isn't a sharpener and only a cleaner. Well it cleaned out the gunk in the grooves of my irons. I ran it maybe 3 times through each groove and I know I could have put some more elbow grease in to further cut into the grooves but that is not my intention. I can see using this a few times a year to keep the clubs in tip top shape. Now to wait a couple of months (winter) before playing. Ugh.

Pretty good results
I have a couple of older Vokey wedges where the grooves are very worn down. I used this and saw a noticeable difference. It's not like you've got new wedges again, but for the price you pay it's worth it. I also tried it on a newer club with minimal wear and that also made a difference. Make sure you follow the instructions in the video and use some type of oil like WD40 and tape the edges of the club because you will have a few slips. It's a little hard on your hands because you want to apply a lot of pressure for a better cut.

What you have to accept with this item is it ...
What you have to accept with this item is it is a tool to improve / restore the grooves and is not something you use on the course to clean the grooves. I was also impressed that I was sent a email with a link on how to use it.

A nice simple tool, a good value. Fit, form and function, very pleased on all counts.
The tool works exceptionally well. Very glad I made the choice to try this out. I have had my Pings for a significant number of years. Was regripping and decided to add this for the spring renewal. Glad I did, a number of years ago I had attempted to do just this with some cutting tools from a lathe. This works much better, and the price makes it very worthwhile.

Rather a waste of money!
Bought this tool to "re-groove" or "sharpen" my worn out grooves in my Ping G20 wedges. Watched their tutorials on how to use but basically this tool does NOTHING other than effectively cleans the grooves! After dragging it 3-4 times across the grooves (with lube) then looking at the groove under a magnifying glass there was no sign of scraping metal! Certainly not worth the $43 cdn I paid.
