Can be worn with some work gloves
Revised 2024/08/13. Upgrading my "Couldn't be worn with gloves" review from 2 stars to 5 stars. I've discovered that some of my newer protective gloves will fit over these arm chaps and will start wearing them again.Previous review: These were a very good fit, were comfortable and protected my forearms, BUT none of my work gloves could be worn over (or under) these otherwise excellent arm chaps. I need protective gloves while cutting thorn bushes or using a chain saw. I purchased these in 2018 and put them aside. In 2024 I accidentally drove a sharp cant hook spike into my wrist. These arm chaps would have protected me. I will look elsewhere for arm protectors that are compatible with gloves.

These work GREAT!!
I have skin that easily breaks and bruises, it's horrible, so ugly & embarrassing and I hate it. Nothing can be done for it...except using these awesome arm chaps! I am a real Gardner and yard work gal, have acreage so there is lots to clean up and clear, these arm chaps are the best, so very pleased with them....worth every penny! I've struggled with cheaper long gloves only to have bruising from branches sticking into the glove. These arm chaps prevent anything from hurting my arms...they are amazing, I followed the detail sizing information they provide and they fit perfect for me!! I'm happy I found these, they are wonderful!!

Great protection.
This is my second pair. Wore the first pair out. Lasted two years. Comfortable and work really well.

Sizing recommendation was great
These are very well-made, and following the sizing guide resulted in getting just the right size for my husband. He likes to wear them to protect his forearms, which now bruise easily. These are really great at keeping that from happening.

Gloves under for dexterity
Husband wears thin rubber palmed gloves under the chaps. He wants the dexterity offered by the thinner gloves. This makes the thumb hole tight so taking the chaps off is difficult. He says they are comfortable and keeping his arms from damage. The material is high quality and well made. The upper arm allows breathability… he is 70, trim, forearms are not beefy so there is airflow adding to the comfort.

Item is exactly as advertised.
I liked the zipper to close this item around your arms. Quick and easy , great protection, used the ARMCHAPS to protect my thin forearm skin from cactus needles , branches, etc. when doing yardwork.

Perfect for heart patients
My Dad is 87 years old "Mans Man" he hasnt ever slowed down repairing things and doing the upkeep on his property. He is on blood thinners and cancer treatments which mame his arms so easy to tear and bruises easily. It hurts me that he suffers so much doing what he wants to do. This allows him to still use his hands without hassel of over sized gloves and protects his hands, wrists and forearms from bushes, trees and whatever crazy thing he wants to carry. Wish I could have found these years ago!

Exceptionally well made
I was a 70s farm kid and we wore leather chaps to protect our clothing and our legs while loading three-wire 225lb alfalfa bales into the hay barns. Although I had never seen a pair, 45 years later I thought someone must make arm chaps. With the benefit of today's internet and search engines, I quickly found this product, and it is exceptionally well made. That was 5-1/2 years ago. I was a quick convert. Almost every time I wear work gloves, I put on my arm chaps first. I have quickly read a few of the reviews and there seems to be some confusion about how to wear them. I wear mine over my shirt sleeve or light jacket sleeve, and under my work gloves. The size-table worked for me. The chaps should fit loosely over your arms, to allow easy movement and ventilation. I just inspected my arm chaps. They look well used, but no real wear and tear is evident. The leather is losing its suppleness, but that's my fault, I should have taken better care of the leather.
