Yes, you can charge it in the house or garage, then you can carry it down the driveway, or down the street... My last one I would charge it up about every 4 weeks to every 6 weeks. I believe I was able to Jump-Start 3 vehicles, but possibly a 4th one, without any issues.... Although this Unit is not really light like one of those Small Hand Held Units, These Units are larger/heavier ones. They can handle Stronger Boosts, and For Longer Periods Of Time..... I'm also getting Battery Tester. Amazon has one for $12.88 Prime 2-Day Shipping. That way I know if it's a Battery Issue, Alternator Issue, or when it's showing a Full Charge, then only starts with someone Jumping the vehicle, then it's probably the Starter....
